I know its been a little bit, but I have so many projects I have created using Katie Pertiet Designs digital collections. If you are savvy in creating cut files with the digital images then you are ahead of the game, but even if you aren't, Katie has so many ready to print options for many of the collections. And if you love fussy cutting, you can just fussy cut them instead of using an electronic cutter. I do both.
I created this cute mini album using the Weathered Market Digital collection from Katie Pertiet Designs.
The cover was created using linen to cover chipboard stenciled with a Finnabair stencil and texture paste. It features Stamperia Golden Harmony Collection Pumpkin pieces I molded with resin, and painted with Lindys Stamp Gang colors. The flowers were created from the papers from Weathered Market, and features Weathered Market butterflies.
Here are some of the pages. The base is built with kraft paper. I created pockets and tags. I used a white Uniball Pen to simulate stitching, and splattered paint in the colors that coordinate with the Weathered Market papers.
I used a lot of the beautiful ephemera to adorn all of the pages. Leaves, pumpkins, butterflies, frames and a lot of sentiments round out the designs. Each pocket features a different layout. The design possibilities are endless. Each tag was strung with jute. I added bits of one of my favorite artificial leaves tucked in here and there.
I left a 1/2 inch gap between each page to accommodate the dimensional layering. Flowers, leaves and jute strung through the tags made the pages pop off of the page. But the 1/2 inch gap was more than enough to keep the items from getting crushed or misshapen.
A lot of the ephemera was cut using my Silhouette Cameo 4, but they could also be fussy cut, or cut with any electronic cutter.
Here is a printed sample of the papers in the collection. I printed them up in letter size. 8.5x11. Because I was making a small mini, the paper size was perfect. The patterns and colors in this collection are so beautiful.
