I have created a card that can be used for just about any occasion. By using the beautiful flowers in the Climbing Clematis Paper Collection, it was easy to just die cut them, place them in the shaping mold, add some sparkle with Rajni Chawlas Crystal Clear, and I add some Flower Soft to the middles. I mixed some Redland Elements in with the Flower Soft for a more realistic look. My card base was created with heavy card stock in white,  that I cut down to create a 5.5x7 inch card. I used distress ink in 2 different colors to blend on the cover of the card. The colors I used compliment the green colors in the Clematis paper. I die cut the Simply Classic Oval dies using the Clematis paper and highlighted it with die cutting, using the Luxe Gold paper.

The clematis flowers were die cut from the Clematis paper pack. These are the prettiest flowers ever! And being that they are already colored, it was easy to shape and add sparkle! I clustered them and tucked the leafy accents under the flowers.

I love the scalloped circles. They are so delicate, and add a beautiful touch to the middle of the card. It is unbelievable how intricate the Heartfelt Creations dies are, and cut so beautifully! It is so easy to create projects with the various dies, and stamps because they speak for themselves. Add the paper, and you can complete many projects from cards, to layouts, to off  the page projects. Let your imagination take you to creative heights. It is just that easy.

Thank you for joining us for this months Blog Hop. Enjoy all of the art that the Alumni Team has created for your inspiration.  Good Luck!

ARToptions Avesta...My grateful Heart

Hello Lovelies. Today I am bring you a new layout created with the gorgeous  ARToptions Avesta collection. Talk about floral sprays!! This one has it all! And if you love the Rub-Ons, then you are in for a treat. The Avesta Rub-Ons are gorgeous. I used the 12x12 as well as the 6x8 sizes to create the background design on this paper. I used one of the solid designs for my base. It is the back of the Flutterbies paper. Some times it is so hard to choose which side to use because they are all beautiful. That's when you buy 2!!

I did a little stitching around the 12x12 paper using green thread to offset all of the beautiful pink. I position where my photo is going to be, and worked the rub ons design around it. I mainly used the 12x12 size, and pieces of the 6x8 size to fill in smaller gaps around the main design. I also used the Ticket Express Stamp which is now retired, but if you have a small script stamp, you could use it as well. I used it for some added texture around the perimeter of the rub on designs.

The frame is in the Avesta Laser Cuts collection It has a layered look and the larger one is attached to the smaller one. All I had to do was add a photo. I created a wreath using the single ply jute and some leaves and flowers. I added the sweet laser cut bow on the top. On the bottom, I used one if the sentiments from the Avesta Chipboard set.  I tucked in a couple of the laser cut stamps, and added the sweet little butterflies. The photo is of my sweet grand daughter when she was about 8 months old. Sitting in a field of digital tulips!! Hey, I manipulated the photo to match the papers!.

There are so many 49 and Market flower collections that go so beautifully together. The Royal Posies and Royal Spray Passion Pink and the Majestic Bouquet Tomato is one example of a perfect combo. I tucked in some laser cut leaves as well as the leaves in those flower collection packs.

Here is the other side of the floral clusters. I love the color Tomato. It is a beautiful red that is more on the deepest orange range. Yes, like the color of a juicy ripe tomato! The color just pops off of the page among all of the pinks. To finish off the page, I added a few art stones, coloring them in a coral color, and then splattered some white paint over the page for a beautiful distressed look.

Thank you for joining me this week. If you love ARToptions Avesta, hurry and find it before it is gone, as this collection is retiring. It is truly one you have to have in your collection! Right around the corner is another gorgeous collection hitting the shelves soon. Stay Tuned!! You don't want to miss it!

Hello Lovelies. I come to you today with a new layout created with Vintage Artistry Collectors Edition Volume 2. It combines a little Vintage Artistry Butter, and Lilac, then adds new gorgeous designs that coordinate perfectly! So if you own Butter and Lilac, this will take your collections further. The best of both worlds. I even snuck in some Curators Botanical into the layout. It all goes together so well. I started by mounting my paper onto a 12x12 piece of corrugated cardboard. Layering and clustering were the words of the day. I just went with it!! I wanted that walk in the garden look. It wasn't to hard once I "installed" the laser cut fence!!

For my floral clusters, I only created 2 paper flowers using the Butter Serenity sheet.  I inked it with distress ink and added a Bubbles and Baubles piece for the middle. Then I went through my stash of flowers and picked them from a few different collections. My title badge was created by layering one of the laser cuts with a die cut scalloped circle. Once again, I used the Butter Serenity paper and inked it with distress ink in Mustard Seed to highlight it. I tucked in some leaves and a butterfly to complete my cluster.

For the cluster on the opposite side, I  added one of the paper flowers I created, and snipped it in half before tucking it under the floral cluster. I strung the sweet banner between the floral clusters and added the beautiful lace laser cut underneath.

For my mat, I used the laser cut from the Collectors Volume 2. The laser cut bookplate was machine stitched around the perimeter, I added some rub ons to the outer edges, and lifted it off of the background, using corrugated cardboard underneath to simulate an open book. I matted the photo using a piece of the Butter Serenity paper and edged it with some distress ink in Mustard Seed. The laser cut flowers are simply beautiful. And there are SO MANY!!

I hope you found some inspiration to create your own spring like project. The colors in Collectors Edition Volume 2 are simply perfect for the season. Spring is in the air!! xo
