The winners will be announced on the Heartfelt Creations blog and Facebook page on Wednesday, January 4th
The winner has 72 hours to claim the prize by emailing socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.com. Please write “Winner of the December 2022 Alumni Hop” in the subject line. (Please note, we will no longer be contacting the winner via email to let them know they have won.)

For my last blog Hop creation, I chose to do a holiday themed  slim line card. I chose the Slim Lattice Oval die for my background, and one of my favorite flower sets, the Festive Poinsettia for my floral cluster.

I love using the Leafy Accents for fillers on my projects. They are such a gorgeous leafy design. I did tuck in a couple of the holly leaves. I will probably tuck in a few more to balance out the design. I really love the stamped design on the flower with all of the veins. It makes for a really beautiful flower.

I used Rajni Chawlas Crystal Clear on the flowers and leaves. I simply love the sparkle it gives. Not to much, but just enough to make it twinkle. I only used a light sprinkle of the Crystal Clear.  The flowers were inked in a two toned manner using 2 colors. Ranger Archival Ink/Rose Madder and
Ranger Archival Ink/Vermillion. I love the blend. The leaves were all colored with Ranger Archival Ink Pad/Fern Green and I added a touch of the Vermillion on the tips.

Thank you for joining us today for our last Hop. I hope you are inspired to create with Heartfelt Creations products.

49 and Market/Vintage Artistry Countryside/A Girl and her Duck

Hello Lovelies. Can you believe we are at the end of December? It is also the last time I will be posting a project for 49 and Market this year. I cant wait to show you what 2023 will bring!!
I will end my projects with this 12x12 layout created with the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Countryside. I am in love with this wonderful collection of farm fresh, sunflower laden, bee keeping, duck walking, rooster crowing goodness!!! And if you think I used 2 pieces of the same paper to get the front and the back designs?? Think again. I like to make the most of my papers. I took one sheet of Countryside gaggle and measured a 1 1/4 inch border all around. I then carefully cut around the border creating a square from the middle, and a frame. I adhered the frame part ( red and white gingham pattern  side up) to a 12x12 piece of corrugated cardboard  and distressed the edges on the outside, and placed pieces of chicken wire washi tape to the inner part of the cut out frame, overlapping it onto the patterned part of the paper so it shows when you place the square piece on top of it. Then I adhered the cut out square using the opposite side of the paper (geese and floral side up), to another piece of corrugated cardboard, and cut off the excess cardboard from the square and distressed the edges. Once the edges were distressed, I applied white acrylic paint to the edges. Once it dried, I hot glued the square piece over the 12x12 piece. There you have it. Your base to start decorating!

I used Sunflower and Florets paper flowers in Amber. They match the papers in Countryside beautifully. I placed some laser cut bees over the flowers and leaves. The bees are so dang sweet!! I tucked some laser cut floral clusters under the flowers. I think the red makes the yellow pop. The colors blend so well together. Surround the floral clusters with some laser cut greenery and you just cant go wrong. I also added a bit more of the wonderful Chicken Wire Washi tape around the layout. I just tore strips freehand, to get that uneven edge.

There is cute little laser cut floral filled basket that I popped off of the page using pop dots. I only added the cute little laser cut button hearts to the front of the basket using pop dots as well. There is a bit if laser cut picket fence underneath, and I wove in the tall red vine flower. I cut a big sunflower in half, and tucked each piece to opposite sides of layout. It looks like half of a flower is peeking out. And it really is a half! I added a sentiment under the basket.

I matted my black and white photo onto a piece of yellow cardstock. I added the sweet yellow gingham laser cut bow to the top of my granddaughters head in the photo. Little country girls need big big bows!! And every little country girl needs a duck!! This is Charlotte with her duck Lucky.  I adore the picket sign with all of the country names. All of the things you would find on a farm. I popped it up with thin pieces of chipboard. I love dimension on my pages, and the easiest way to do it, is to pop everything off of the page.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you are inspired to create something with Vintage Artistry Countryside. Gather those photos from days gone by. Countryside will help you preserve those memories of the country. Or the farm!!

49 and Market Vintage Artistry Countryside/ 12x12 layout

Hello there today!! I bring you a layout created with the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Countryside. The collection is perfect for those photos taken on the farm, out in the countryside, or just those beautiful garden photos that you've been wanting to scrap. Between the 12x12 and 6x8 papers, you could build folios, mini albums and journals besides your layouts and off the page projects. There are so many accessories to adorns your projects. Washi Tape in multiple sizes, chip board, ephemera, laser cuts, tags, and don't forget those gorgeous Rub-Ons that we all love to use.
For my layout, I had a particular photo in mind that I wanted to use. A photo of my son almost 30 years ago, on a trip to Old McMickeys farm in Odessa, Florida. He held a chicken for the first time. I always adored this photo. To prepare my layout, I used the Countryside Farm Life paper. I machine sewed around the page using a coordinating red thread. I used a reverse chicken wire stencil with texture paste, sprinkled with embossing powder, and heat embossed the design. I cut a large circle of the Countryside Grange paper, edge punched it using a decorative corner punch to create a doily, (tutorial here) and adhered  it to the middle of the page. Then the layering began.

I used apiece of the 6x8 paper and created a mat for the photo. I placed it in the middle of the circle and tucked in tags, and ephemera. I topped the tags using jute, but they do come prestrung with white string. I created my floral clusters with the beautiful Sunflowers in Amber, and used laser cut leaves and flowers to tuck underneath. With the leftover paper I used to create the photo mat, I die cut some lacy leaves and tucked those in as well.

I absolutely love the well worn white picket fence laser cut. I placed some strips of corrugated cardboard under the planks, and adhered it to the layout, I then tuck behind it one of the sweet  laser cut geese. I placed the laser cut watering can to the side of the fence, and topped it with the little yellow heart. An Ephemera Bits  sentiment was layered with a plate, and used for the title of the page.

I love creating floral clusters, and of course the sweet butterflies can usually be seen fluttering  near them. Just adhere the body only, and when dry, lift up the wings to create dimension. I love the sunny color of the sunflowers. They add a beautiful touch to top off your projects. I know I have some sunflower photos somewhere!! How fun would a mini album be created with the Countryside collection. OK, now I am inspired to create one!!

Thank you for joining  me today. I hope you are inspired to create a Farm Life or Sunflower themed project using this beautiful collection! Did I mention there are also bees in  this collection!!! Check it out!!
