January Alumni Heartfelt Creations Design Team Blog Hop

Such a wonderful way to start the new year!! The Heartfelt creations Alumni Design Team is bringing to you, another inspirational Blog Hop, with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the Heartfelt Creations store. Just leave a comment on all of blogs in the hop. You could be the next winner!!

I did a 12x12 layout. I created 2 layers as my base, and used the middle layer to mount  my photo. To back each layer, I mounted the papers on corrugated cardboard using Mod Podge. I created this layout using the Wild Rose Collection. The papers are dreamy.

I used smaller pieces of cardboard in between the layers to give them some depth.

For the flowers, I stamped  them on them on Deluxe Paper in Violet and die cut them out. I colored the whole flowers with Tea Rose,  colored the middles with Cactus Flower, then added a touch of Pink Peony and then Violet on the ends. I spritzed them with water, and placed them in the 3D mold and ran it through my Big Shot. Once the flowers were dried, I mixed the Prills added a dab of glue to the middles of the flowers and dropped the prills in. To top them off, I brushed on some watered down Designer Dries Clear Adhesive  and sprinkled them with Frosting Powder. I layered the largest flowers, and left the smaller ones single.

For the leafy accents and the Wild Rose leaves, the process is the same as for the flowers, but I stamped them in Leaf Green, using a sponge dauber, I rubbed in more of the leaf green but very lightly. I kissed the leaves with Violet. Then topped them off with the frosting Powder. I wish you could see the wonderful sparkle.

Thank you for joining us today for the hop. Next up on the hop is Candy!

49 and Market "Today" 12x12 layout

Hello beautiful friends!! I hope you are excited about the new collections as I am. There is so much in store for you from 49 and Market this year! I have a couple of sneak peaks of new elements coming to a store near you.  This layout was creating using paper #3 from the Vintage Artistry in Color Collectors Edition Volume 1. It is so beautiful, that I hated to cover it up. So instead I enhanced the pattern on the paper with the gorgeous laser cuts included in the collection. This collection is full of 6 gorgeous brand new limited edition 12x12 papers in the most desired colors of blues, corals, and greens. There are 12 of the original Vintage Artistry in Color papers. 4 papers from each color collection.  The laser-cuts and washi tapes are included. So much gorgeousness in this collection. It is a must have for sure!

The Sugar Stems and Sugar Posies flowers in Tutti Frutti, were matched to perfection! And I simply adore the laser cut butterflies in various designs and colors. I scattered them everywhere! But if you know me, I am a sucker for butterflies! The laser cut leaves are plentiful in the collections. I love my greenery!! I did a little stenciling with texture paste and before it dried, I sprinkled some embossing powder over it. When the paste was almost dried, I heat embossed the powder. The shimmery texture it produced is beautiful. I tucked some bits of lacey trims around the layers for more texture.

Do you see the top left hand corner of the layout? Yes, those bits, are the awesome Vintage Artistry Coral and Natural Rub-On Transfers. Goodness, if you haven't tried the rub-ons, they go on like BUTTA!!! (yes, I am from New York!!) I used the rub-ons around the layout, and even rubbed some of the designs on the edges of the photo. It blends in perfectly into the layout. I added a few Wishing Baubles and Bubbles Coral onto the side of the file folder frame. Those little gems are dress the frame up beautifully.

Sneak peak alert!! I created a few layers using pieces from the Vintage Artistry Essentials Ephemera Bits (coming soon). The tags are awesome, and I just strung some Rustic Collection Jute Cording Single Ply through the hole on top. There are 58, mix and match die cut pieces in the pack. So awesome for layering! And my little title is from another yet to be released 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Essentials Chipboard (coming soon)..Yes, CHIPBOARD!! Mini album, and card/tag  lovers are going to love these!!

And yet another sneak peek! Wait until you get your hands on these File Frame Sets!! This one is from the 3x4 sized set, but wait...There are other sizes!! Bigger!! And square ones too!! So many possibilities with these! Not just frames, but there are tabs too in the set. I won't say any more...I am just  so excited about all of the new 49 and Market products.

I hope you are inspired to create a new project using some of the newest collections from 49 and Market. xoxo

49 and Market Noel Collection "Merry 25"

Hello Lovelies, and Happy New Year!!! I can promise you that 2021 is going to be an incredible year for 49 and Market. I have had the privilege to see some of the new collections in store, designed just for your creative pleasure!! But today, I have come to inspire you with Noel. What a gorgeous holiday collection. Traditional Christmas colors, but with a fantastic Vintage style! I truly enjoyed creating this layout. I wish you could see the glimmering gold shimmer I gave to the entire layout. So festive and magical.

One of my favorite products are the Rub-Ons. OMGosh, they rub on like butter, and they look like part of the paper!! You can't see the edges of the rub, as they melt right into the paper. The little trees on the top left corner, the doily at the edge of the floral cluster, and the stitches, all rub ons. I collected the leaves from a couple of different collections. I distressed them with a bit of Vintage Photo distress ink, then highlighted them with Fired Brick distress ink. They blend in perfectly with the paper.

I wanted some Christmas flowers like poinsettias on my layout. So I searched through my 49 and Market flower stash and found the Stargazers in Cashmere, Painted red, they look just like poinsettias! I die cut the photo frames using paper from the Noel 6x6 collection. The gold colored paper is gorgeous. I enhanced the gold color by painting it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Glitzy Gold Magicals. It didn't change the color of the paper, it just added gold shimmer.

I also colored the Cashmere Stargazers in the Glitzy Gold Magicals. When the entire layout was complete, I splattered some of the Glitzy Gold Magicals in the corners of the layout. I also dry rubbed it on the red flowers, the leaves, and the edges of the layout. Kind of like Gilding the Lily!! It worked to pull the whole holiday theme together. Glistening gold to complete the magical feeling.

The steps I used to transform the Stargazers into Poinsettia Flowers.

1. These are the Stargazers in their original color.

2. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabios spray in Queen of hearts Red for the flowers. I mixed it               with a little bit of water and the flowers soaked up the color beautifully. The Stamen and the leaves         were colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Ponderosa Pines Olive. It has a bit of gold       shimmer, and left a gold shimmer on the leaves, so it worked perfectly color wise.

3. I brushed some Mod Podge onto the flower petals and sprinkled some fine red glitter on  it. I                  used the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold to the tips of the each stamen and the tops of the berries.

4.  Is a closeup of the flowers, leaves and berries. It is the fine little details that give the flowers                   character. I love the way they came out. Very festive.
