The winner will be announced on the Heartfelt Creations blog and Facebook page on Wednesday, March 31st. Dont forget to check back!!

I created a card using the Ornate Flourish Gateway die. It is just one of the designs from the Elegant Gateway Dies and Accents series. I adhered my die cuts onto a 5x7 Gateway Fold card.  I did cut off the last end of the trifold so that I was just left with a card that opens once. I will save the extra arch for another project. But you could adorn all 3 parts of the folds. It is a versatile card.

This is a closeup of the sentiment that I used. I love the Wild Rose paper collection. There are so many tags, card fronts, and sentiments to choose from. So many ways you can use all of the cutouts. I created a Birthday Card for this project.

On the inside of the card, I adhered a few of the flowers that I die cut from the designer papers in the collection. I left the middle blank, to add a note, wishes, or a Heartfelt Creations stamp.

Here is a closeup of the cluster of flowers and leaves I created to adorn  the cover of the card. I absolutely love that one of the sheets of paper in the 12x12 Wild Rose Collection pack, has flowers and leaves that all you have to do is use your Wild Rose dies to die cut them. I spritzed them lightly with water, then ran  them through the Wild Rose Shaping Mold. Once they were completely dry, I brushed on a little watered down glue, dipped them in Crystal Clear, added a custom mix of the Rock N Roll Prills to the centers, then layered them on the card. I also tucked in a few pieces of the Leafy Accents that I die cut from the solid green papers then stamped it with Ranger Archival Ink in Leaf Green. They are great for fillers when you cut them apart.  Get those prills!! They are awesome for the centers of your flowers!! I love mixing the colors to get a custom blend.

49 and Market Vintage Artistry Blush.."Nothing More Adorable" 12x12 layout

Hello Friends!! Today I bring to you a layout created with the Vintage Artistry Blush Collection. It is truly gorgeous, with the lightest pale pinks, to the explosions of vibrant pink, The beauty if this collection are the laser-cuts that come with the Collection. So easy to punch them out, and add them to your projects! To the gorgeous background paper, once I added the layered and matted photo and window pane, I added bubbles and baubles, the fabulous Rub-Ons, stamping, and a bit of splattering. The papers are so detailed and gorgeous, you really don't have to add anything!! But once you start building on to the design, you just cant stop!!

I always save the strips that I cut off of the bottom of the 12x12 papers. There is always an awesome design on one side. I added a laser cut design to a piece of the strip, cut a leafy vine and butterfly from the 6x6 paper pack and added it to the cluster. The tiny heart is in the blush Bubbles and Baubles set.

I tucked some of the laser cut butterflies into the floral clusters. The sugar posies in Tutti Frutti and the Enchanted Petals in Flamingo are the perfect colors for the Blush papers. I used one of the laser cuts for the title of my photo. I created a small bow from the single ply Jute, and glued it below the corner of the photo.

To add real dimension to the laser cut window pane, I backed the window pane with a piece of acetate, then built up the layer with strips of heavy chipboard around and in between each pane. Then I temporarily laid it on the background where I wanted it, and marked each part of the middle of each window, where I place a butterfly. I adhered only the body of the butterflies then lifted the butterfly wings for dimension. Then I carefully adhered the window pane over the butterflies. It truly looks like a window. Or a shadowbox! Either way, I love it!!

Thank You for joining me today. I hope you are inspired to use Pink!! Blush is the perfect Pink collection! xo

Crealies Guest Designer March 2021

I bring to you a new creation for my Guest Design spot for Crealies. Crealies makes the most magnificent dies, and I have had so much fun creating with them. They also make Mixed Media products, and I have used a few on this layout. I created this 12x12 layout using Bold and Beautiful from 49 and Market. The large laser cut leaves and butterflies are from 49 and Market Vintage Artistry in Color Collectors Edition Vol. I – 12×12 Collection  I popped up each layer using corrugated cardboard in between to create depth. I love creating  dimensional layouts. They look perfect in a shadow box.

To create the center piece of my layout, I die cut 2 different On The Edge die sets. On the Edge XL dies no. 33, 20,8 cm with double dots  CLOTEXL33, and On the Edge die no. 39, 2 x 10.5 cm. With double dotted line.  CLOTE39. I layered them with the designs going in opposite directions. I popped them up using corrugated cardboard in between each layer. For the photo mat, I die cut one of the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL dies no. 24, Rectangles with stitchline  CLNestXXL24, and placed my photo on top, and placed it in the middle of my arranges mat. I created floral clusters on each side of the photo.

I used the Bits & Pieces stamp no. 229, 4x stitching lines  CLBP229 around the entire layout. To create the tags, I stamped 4 of the Bits & Pieces stamp no. 227, Labels  CLBP227, then added various words from the Text Die no. 113 I hope, believe, dream  CLTD113 and Text Die no. 114 always remember  CLTD114 die sets. I adhered 1 word to the 4 stamped tags.

I love Crealies texture paste. It goes on like butter!!! Using a stencil, I used the Metal pasta spatula, large and small  CLMM99 and the  Crealies Mixed Media no 3 : Stencil Paste  CLYT200414 to create the design on the background. I added a bit of Pigment Colorzz, Pink no.08  CLPC08 to color parts of the paste before application. Before it dried, I sprinkled a bit of clear embossing powder and used a craft heat gun to dry the paste. It created a bit of a crinkly look that I wanted by heating it until it was bit bubbly. I love the texture it leaves.

I created smaller floral clusters on the sides of each tag clusters. And I also stamped more of the background using the zig zag stamp from the Bits & Pieces stamp no. 229, 4x stitching lines  CLBP229. As a personal preference, I cut the stamp apart to make each design an individual piece. Of course you could leave them as 1.

For the flowers, I die cut Set of 3 no. 61, Flowers 26 (solid)  CLSet61 using the  Watercolor / Mixed Media papier, wit 200 grams (15x A4)  CLBS104. The weight of the paper is perfect to create the flowers and leaves. the leaves were die cut the same way using the  Duo Dies no. 57, Leaves 11  CLDD57 and the  Duo Dies no. 57A, Leaves 11 mirror image  CLDD57A. I love that you can get a mirror image dies with some of the leave sets. I just set a half pearl onto the middle of each flower.

Once the flowers and leaves were die cut I used  Pigment Colorzz, Pink no.08  CLPC08 and Pigment Colorzz, Yellow no.01  CLPC01for the flowers,  and Pigment Colorzz, Olive Green no. 22  CLPC22 for the leaves. I used various amounts of water to achieve the shading in both. For the darker shades, I just added a bit more powder in my water. I work on a glass mat to mix my colors.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you are inspired to use your dies and stamps in a different way. There are so many possibilites! xo

49 and Market The Everyday Collection

Hello beautiful friends. Today I bring to you a layout created from the Vintage Artistry Everyday Collection. I love that this collection has paper and the laser cuts. You really don't have to add to much more for the finishing touches! I used some of the gorgeous Rub-Ons around the layout. I also did a small amount of stenciling with texture paste and watered down distress paint.  I did a bit of machine sewing around the 12x12 paper, and a couple of the frames, as well as around the cutout of the butterflies. I show you a quickie tutorial on how to do this cut out technique.

Here is a closeup of the cutout butterflies and the floral cluster. I used the Sugar Posies in Fluff and colored them with watered down distress paint. I also added a few of my own die cut leaves as fillers.

I tucked in a few mini flowers in Mushroom. They are awesome as fillers for tucking into floral clusters. I scattered some Bubbles and Baubles around the  page. I added some srt stones and paint spatters to top of the finished layout.

For my title, I used the brand new Word Clips! They are going to be awesome in mini albums and junk journals, but I found this one perfect for my title. "Perfect". I just clipped it on like a paper clip. I cut a couple of  pieces of Washi tape to tape down my photo.

Here are the quick instructions for achieving the cut out butterfly technique. So simple, but adds such a big beautiful impact on the layout. I imagine you could do this with flowers on your paper as well.
