I have created a slim line card featuring Sweet Pea flowers drawing colors from the Decorative Dragonfly Paper collection. What's not to love about greens, blues and my personal favorite, purples!

I started by creating a card using heavy white cardstock. The finished card measures, 3.5 x 7.5 inches. I cut a piece of the Decorative Dragonfly paper the same size as the cover of the card, and adhered it to the front. The Dragonfly sentiment was cut out from the cutaway tab on the paper. I love dragonflies. I then fussy cut out one of the tickets, die cut the smallest design from the Royal Elegance Frame die, overlaid it onto the ticket, and adhered the Dragonfly word on top. I inked the word, and popped it up on the ticket using chipboard. I placed a piece of corrugated cardboard under the ticket before adhering it to the card. For staging purposes, the Sweet Peas that are scattered around the page were created with Heartfelt Creations art foam Paper. Thiose I will save for another project.

For the flowers and leaves I stamped and die cut using white cardstock. I inked the sweet peas in Ranger Archival Ink Deep Purple, and the sweet 5 petal star flowers in Ranger Archival Ink Paradise Teal, I color blended with the same color lightly. The leaves were inked with Ranger Archival Ink Fern Green. I placed a single stamen in the middles of the star flowers.

I used Nuvo Glitter Drops in a few different colors to make the flowers and leaves sparkle. And I cut out the tiny dragonflies from the opposite side of the paper I used. I love the Leafy Accents vines so much because they make such a great background filler.

49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet /Tidal Wave Collections.

Hello Lovelies. I have another layout done with the gorgeous Spectrum/Sherbet collection, using the blues, and Tidal Wave Elements. I thought they were perfect to use a photo of my grandson. I minimized flowers this time only using the flower laser cuts. I relied more on leaves and layers. Of course the addition of butterflies is always a must. They are always simply amazing! I started with mounting my 12x12 piece of Spectrum Sherbet from the solids pack onto a piece of 12x12 cardboard. I chose the beautiful blue, and added a bit of stenciling with modeling paste. Before the modeling paste dried, I sprinkled it with white embossing powder. When the modeling paste dried, I heat embossed the powder. Then I began layering my elements until I was happy with the result.

I love the variety of leaves, flowers and butterflies in the Tidal Wave Laser Cut Elements pack. I scattered them everywhere!! I used one of the Sherbet chipboard pieces to top my frame. You can see one of the pieces of corrugated cardboard peeking out from under. It only takes little bits here and there to grunge up the layout a little.

Don't ever discount the box that we get our Design Team products in. I used pieces of the box, peeling back the corrugated cardboard to create a little bit of grunge for this boy layout. I dry brushed some white gesso onto the cardboard pieces. Here, I ripped the 12x12 piece of paper from top to bottom. A little trick I learned was to wet the path you want to rip, so when you start ripping, it rips exactly where you made the wet path. Here I did a wavy design to rip. Then I tucked my piece of corrugated cardboard under the larger piece, and then secured the smaller piece under the cardboard. I curled back the edges of the blue paper, and kissed it with white gesso. The sentiment was taken from the laser cuts, and I cut the words apart and matted them using scraps from the backs of the waste paper from the laser cuts. It was the perfect green, and I didn't have to cut into my Sherbet paper for a small scrap!!

Layers and layers. I love creating layers!! Using the Tidal Wave frames, Sherbet Essential Laser Cut Elements, Sherbet tags, and Sherbet Remnants, it was so easy!! There is so much to choose from in this collection. Getting all of the "accessories" for the papers, and your project ideas are endless!! I did some spattering in white at the end for a final touch.

Here is a close up on how I used the corrugated cardboard. I did take a piece of gauze and tore it apart and tucked it here and there on the layout, for added texture. It lends a bit of wispiness to the layout.

49 and Market Spectrum Sherbert/ Everyday Magic/12x12 Layout

Hello Lovelies!! We are super excited to bring you another fabulous collection from 49 and Market. Spectrum Sherbet. This collection is loaded with so many "accessories" I couldn't help myself to use a bunch of different elements for my page. If you are a fan of Katie Pertiet, who designed Spectrum, then you may know about her digital "Layered Banners". I bring you a Layered Banner, brought to life, with paper!!!! Basically its like a clothes line for scrapbooking treasures!!

I started by stapling some 5 ply jute cording across the page. Then the fun began, Hanging the elements, and tucking in some here and there. Of course there has to be some Spectrum Rub-Ons and Washi Tape. And even Bubbles and Baubles sprinkled here and there.

The new Frame Sets are beautiful!! I used Tidal Wave and Strawberry Lemonade frames. I layered both frames, and added some of the washi tape that looks like stitching. Tear and apply. How easy is that!! I hung both photos using the Mini Index clips. Love them!! You must get all of the colors. They are a must have! I had some tiny clothes pins in my stash, and that is what I used to hang my elements.

The pack of Chipboard Words is amazing! I used the Joyful word in between the photos of my grandson Dominick. I also clipped another Spectrum Laser Cut sentiment onto a flower, then onto the banner string. I tucked some laser cut lace, more flowers, tickets, tags, and butterflies to my layered banner.

There is also a new acetate leaves to go with the Spectrum Sherbet Collection. Leaves and butterflies, oh my!! You can see some of the dotted washi tape on the edges of the layout. Stick and tear...The Washi Tape Assorted collection has different designs and sizes in the box. Another must have.
