Lindy's Stamp Gang December 2014 Color Challenge

Welcome to Lindy's Stamp Gang December Color Challenge. The wintery color of blue, paired with the warm gold tones and that unexpected pop of red...oh my.. The combo is just beautiful!! I started with a couple of papers from DCWV new "The Winter In The Woods" paper pack. Full of blues, golds, and Kraft paper. Perfect for the Color Challenge this month. I mounted the papers on corrugated cardboard, then started the "unlayering"  and distressing around the edges.
I heat embossed the Blue Fern Studios chipboard piece Helens Doily with Starbright Gold Green. It is
amazing how the embossing powders have a 2 toned effect to them.

The Blue Fern Studios Tattered Butterflies were sprayed with Opal Sea Oats Starburst Spray. I then used Martha Stewart micro beads In the same colors as the sprays and glued them to the chipboard.

The Recollection flowers started out a coral color. I sprayed them with  Rizzo's Rowdy Red  .I love the saturated color you get with just a little spray.

I used some of the embossing powder around the photo. You just have to pay attention and be careful you don't burn the photo. It embossed pretty quickly.

I capped the corners with some metal corner embellishments. I cut apart the The Blue Fern Studios Quatrefoil Panel  then heat embossed it with Morning Glory Azure.

Just another closeup of the corner of the layout.

This is a closeup of the other butterfly.I did some journaling around the doily chipboard.

Here is the beautiful color palette this month. Why not give it a try and join us this month for the December Color Challenge. There will be five (5) winners of $50 Gift Certificates to the store!
