Great and exciting news for me!! I just found out that I was chosen to be the March Guest Designer for Swirlydoos Kit Club!!! I just cant seem to wipe the smile off my face today. Butterfly Kisses detail

Just a close up of the corner of the layout.

The photo in this LO was taken the day we bought Gabrielle home from the hospital. I stamped all the butterflies and cut them out. The hearts were made by one of my favorite scrapbooking artists Teresa Manchas, they were a thank you gift she sent me. I did a lot of tearing and distressing and I made the vine beneath the embellies. I enoyed working on this one. Hope you enjoy looking at it!!

Nick having fun with the camera!!

Just wanted to let you know about my day this past Thursday. Dan Coffey from Pie Town Productions, cameraman, from Rate My Space (the television show on HGTV)flew out from California to shoot my Scrapbooking Studio for their show!!!! How exciting it was, he was absolutely wonderful and cute as a button. The shoot went well, Dan thought it went excellant. He estimated to be here from 10 am until 4 0r 5 pm, and we were done at 1pm. He said it was one of the easiest shoots he had done and actually enjoyed his visit here to Florida. What a nice guy, Nick, (my son,pictured) of course was fascinated with the whole shoot and was in awe of Dans camera the whole time. Dan was tickled about Nicks interest and enthusiasm and asked Nick if he wanted to play with the camera, of course Nick was so excited, Dan gave him a blank dvd tape to keep, gave him a few pointers on the cameras operation and Nick went to town!!! Nick has his certification in TV production and has used this type of camera before, but this one was the creme de la creme of cameras. He was in awe!!! We played it back on our HD TV and what a great picture!!! So with all this done, Dan said the episode will air some time in May on HGTV, as the construction in the homeowners room is currently under way, and after it airs the Producers will send me my very own copy...What a fun day, I hope my hair looked good.....lol....Lisa XXXOOO

Sugar & Spice

Lets see if there are any techniques I can share about this LO. To make the butterfies, I used Martha Stewarts butterfly stamp and with some Perfect Medium, stamped it on transparancy. I then embossed it with black embossing powder. If you are quick and careful,your transparancy wont warp. Then using Tim Holtz gold alcohol ink, I covered the back of the butterfly, then embellished it with Scribbles dimensional paint or liquid pearls. I bent the wings up a little before adhering to LO. The possibilities are endless!!

Well tomorrow is the day...August 23, 2008...A once in a lifetime event!! The 1st ever WorldWide Photowalk. Created and set up by none other than the Photoshop Guru himself Scott Kelby!! And I have the distinct honor to tour with his group!! I will also officially be in Rod Harlans group in the downtown historic Safety Harbor, Florida, Its where I work...If any of you are Photoshop die hard users, than you know about this history making event!! It is going to be an exciting day. Of course Dear Faye will determine sunshine or not, but either way I will not let her get in my way. The event is world wide, is anyone registered to go on a walk in your area???My brother may be doing the Las Vegas PhotoWalk.
