49 and Market Vintage Artistry Sunburst

Hello Lovelies. It is with much excitement that I bring you a layout created with the delightful Vintage Artistry Sunburst. I was so excited to create with this collection, as I have many beach photos. I am fortunate to live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and have the most beautiful beaches within a short driving distance of my home. The hard part was choosing which photos to use. Sunburst is filled with the most beautiful summery colors. There are flamingos and palm trees, seashells and seahorses, flowers and butterflies, and so much more!  There are also a solid colors in the  Foundations pack with all of the coordinating colors in the collection. As always, the coordinating products in the Sunburst collection can give you endless possibilities to create with. I chose to use a paper from the 12x12 collection pack. Flamingo Terrace. I machine stitched around the paper, and this was my foundation.

I decided to showcase the elements in the Cluster Kit, and added bits and pieces from the Ephemera Bits collection as well as the Laser Cut collection. But there is so much in the Cluster Kit, that you really can use just what is in the kit to create many projects. The beautiful part of the cluster kit is, you can follow the cluster patterns exactly as pictured on the packet, or you can design  your own cluster, as I did, for the focal part of this layout. It is fun to collect and layer the elements, and build the clusters using your own style. Use the photos of the clusters on the kit as a starting point, and let your imagination just take off.

I love the intricacy of the net laser cut. And the yellow Frangipani (Plumeria) flowers are exactly what I had in my garden a few years back. These laser cuts are truly beautiful! Of course the seahorses are darling!! The colors are all so beautiful. It was simply so easy to do all of the layering.

I used one of the the little flag banners to string along the bottom of the cluster. The tiny clothes pins hold each side of the banner in place. I cut one of the acetate film strips in half, and placed one half on top, and the other half on the bottom under the cluster. I added a couple of butterflies on the page. I cant believe I didn't use any flowers other than the laser cut flowers!! Unheard of for me!!

I hope you enjoyed looking at this layout as much as I enjoyed creating it. See what the other designers have created with Sunburst. You will be delighted and inspired!

49 and Market Spectrum Gardenia/Color Swatch Lavender

Hello Lovelies. It feels good to be back creating with the beautiful Spectrum Gardenia, paired with Color swatch Lavender. The Color Swatch Collections are a must have, as they coordinate with so many of the other collections. I found that Lavender coordinates perfectly with Spectrum Gardenia. The background paper I used is From the Lavender collection, it is Paper 2. The elements/ephemera I used to adorn the paper, are from the Spectrum Gardenia Collection. There is so much to choose from. I chose to use an envelope/pocket from the Essential File Set as part of the matted photo. I filled the pocket full of loveliness!!!

The Gardenia Fabric Tape is 4 inches wide. I took a strip of the tape, matted it on a piece of white cardstock, and cut it in strips. I mounted 4 of the strips, in different lengths on opposite corners of the layout, and placed some pop dots underneath each strip. I topped the strips with sentiments, flowers and butterflies. The tiny butterflies are so sweet. They are from the Butterfly Laser Set. So many sizes and colors to choose from.

I matted the photo, and used one of the beautiful frames in the Ephemera Bit collections. The hardest part was choosing which color to use because there are multiple colors! One of my favorite elements are the little safety pins with banners or tags attached. I mixed flowers with laser cut flowers. And always save those flowers that only have 1 or 2 left in the package, as I did., because the last 2 Sugar Posies flowers in Hucklberry that I used, are now retired, but you can still find them online.  They matched my floral arrangements and the paper, beautifully. 49 and Market collections make it so easy to create so many different projects as there are so many elements to mix and match for each project you do. I hope that you go through your collections and pull out coordinating pieces and get creating!! The possibilities are endless!!

49 and Market Vintage Artistry Nature Study

Hello Lovelies. Today I bring you another layout created from the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Nature Study. I can't tell you enough about this collection. One of my favorite colors is green, and this collection has plenty of it!! I chose a photo of my beautiful grandson. He is non verbal autistic, but oh so sweet and smart. And also so curious, and never seems to lose his sense of wonder.

To set the base of this layout, I chose the piece of 12x12 paper #4 from the Color Swatch Toast collection. I lightly traced a big circle in the middle of the paper then machined stitched around the circle, and went around a few times creating different sizes.

Once the circles were sewn around the paper, I used the Nature Study 6x8 Rub-Ons over the sewn circles. I placed the Nature Study Ephemera Bits frame onto the bottom side of the circle, and placed the Nature Study General Laser Cut tree to the side of the frame. Everything else just fell into place once the base was created.

I tied some single ply jute around the photo before I place it in the frame. I covered the laser cut tree with tiny Pixie Petals in Salmon,  and backed them with a cut apart leaf vine from the Sugar Petals Butterscotch flowers. The little leaves are the perfect size. To frame the photo I used Enchanted Petals in Salmon and Royal Posies in Olive. After I tucked in the leaves from the flower collections, I added a bit of excelsior for a bit of texture. A little goes a long way.

It amazes me how easy it is to place the rub ons on different surfaces. I rubbed them right onto the stitched area of the paper. It was no problem at all!! They glided on beautifully! I love the sentiments. Instead of a main title, I just used a few of the sentiments clustered on the page.

Here is a close up of the beautiful flowers. I so adore the tiny clusters of mushrooms. I used a combination of laser cuts, ephemera and washi stickers for the mushrooms  around the layout. So delicate and so beautiful! I love the little laser cut nest, and placed the smaller one in the tree. Nature truly abounds in Nature Study. Specimens galore to use in your projects. From the tiniest bees to the tress. There is something for all of your Nature themed projects.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope that you are inspired to create with Nature Study. As always you can pull products from other 49 and Market collections to coordinate with current collections. The creative possibilities are limitless. I hope you give it a try. xo

Vintage Artistry Nature Study/ 12x12 layout

Hello lovelies. If you love the beautiful outdoors, and a walk in the woods, you are absolutely going to love Vintage Artistry Nature Study. Moths, mushrooms, and butterflies in abundance. The papers are beyond beautiful. and all of the ephemera in the collection is absolute perfection. In back of my home, acres acres of woods. The fern grows wild, and moss and mushrooms can be found everywhere. Once in a while we find the most gorgeous moths and butterflies in my yard , so Nature Study is everything I love. The Nature Study Natural Habitat paper was adhered to a 12x12 piece of corrugated cardboard, and the edges were distressed and peeled back all around the edges.

I love the jar in the Ephemera Bits pack,  as it reminds me of the jars we used to catch fireflies when we were kids. I chose to stuff it with Mushrooms, a butterfly  and moss on the bottom. Then I cut out a piece of acetate and covered the jar. I tied a piece of jute around the jar, and topped the jar with a tiny lady bug.  I scattered mushrooms all around the layout. There are so many different varieties and colors. I used Ephemera Bits, Laser Cuts and washi sticker mushrooms.

I love the little looking glass. I placed a piece of acetate under the looking glass, and placed it on top of the layered Ephemera Bits frame, then I placed some of the Bits on top of the frame. I love the different sizes and colors of the frames. Layering them is so easy and there are so many ways you can layer them. I used a few of the 12x12 Sentiment Rub Ons around the layout as well as the ephemera bits sentiments.
The photo was placed behind the pedestal Ephemera Bits frame, I cut a small slit on the top of the jar, and tucked part of the base into the jar. All of the frames were popped up from the background paper for a bit of dimension.

I love the little twig tree from the laser cut elements. I tucked it in a base of moss, and added the little mushrooms that appear to be growing at the base of the tree. I also added some tinted green Art Stones scattered around the page. I placed pop dots under the mushrooms to pop them off of the page.

I hope you enjoyed your journey through Nature Study with me today. I hope that you create beautiful projects with this collection. xo

49 and Market Vintage Artistry Countryside Collection/Mini album in a box

Hello Lovelies. Today I am bringing you a project that I created using the beautiful Vintage Artistry Countryside. This collection has it all. The colors, design and theme are simply fabulous. A country theme like no other. I think it is kind of elegant! I created a mini album in a box. The beautiful,  Frances Long of Your Book of Memories, gifted me a couple of her classes a while ago. I chose to use the absolutely awesome  Window box Mini Album class to showcase just how gorgeous Vintage Artistry Countryside can be. This album was a labor of love and worth every minute I spent creating it. Countryside has it all. The colors, the design and the versatility to use it in a variety of projects, as you have seen the designers create in the past. Let me walk you through some of the details of this mini album in a box.
The Mini album is constructed separately, and simply slides into a box. I chose to create wooden bead feet. I think I am doing to paint them! When the album slides into the box, the flaps are magnetic and adhere to the outsides of the box. I used the 49 and Market large magnetic closures. The front flap is a shaker style flap making this album pretty special, as I filled it with Countryside chipboard, my own stash of microbeads and sequins to match the colors in Countryside.
This is a closeup of the front flap, and the top of the box has some of my favorite flowers. Sunflowers in Amber, Nature's Bounty Flowers in Salsa, Florets in Amber and Royal Posies in Tomato. I adore the color combination of the reds with the yellows. I chose the word Memories from the chipboard word set, as this album will hold a lot of special memories.
Here are some closeups of some of the wonderful pages. There are so many flips and flaps, pockets and slide ins. There is also acetate covered photo pockets to slide your photos into. Once the pages were constructed, i went back and adorned some of the pages with laser cuts, Fabric and washi tape, tags, chipboard and ephemera bits, Each page is so awesome, and there are so many various ways you could decorate each page making it your own album. You could also adapt a lot of Your Book of Memories pages to the 49 and Market premade albums, and that would give you a head start.
Here are more closeups of some of the pages. Lots of tags and pockets to slide them in. I love the acetate covered pocket frames to slide your photos into. I purchased Cake Collar roll on amazon. The acetate is the perfect weight and it is crystal clear. One 6-inch roll is going to last me a long time!.
Thank you for joining me. I hope that you are challenged creatively and create a project of your own. This mini album was a labor of love, but I enjoyed the creative process so much that I want to make another one. I hope that you are inspired.
