Time Flies...

Where does the time go...My daughter will be leaving for the military sometime this year...I always knew this day would come when your kids will be out of the house because they are all grown up...My son got married 3 years ago at the tender age of 20, after buying a home on his own...Him leaving was traumatizing enough....Now my baby...Don't know what I am going to do...Probably fall apart...

  1. I've said good-bye to 3 of my 4...but they are all boys, and I think somehow it may be different with a girl. Hang in there Mama-get skype, and make sure you have a cell phone or an email address. You'll make it through!

  2. You are going to be okay...at first your heart will ache, but you will always know that you made an amazing investment in your children's lives..and they will always come back...because they know that you love them SO much.

  3. Awwww.....what a gorgeous girl!! I havn't come to the point of anyone leaving yet.

    Just a strange car in the driveway, all the sudden. It doesn't seem RIGHT?? My daughter's 16th B-day is Sunday.

    I feel that I was just dropping her off to Kindergarten and fussing with her hair all the time:)

  4. She's beautiful and you must be so proud ( although sad). I have a few years to go and already can't stand the thought. I'm just worrying about middle school and junior high and wondering how we got here already.

  5. With your baby gone you'll just have to scrap more. My oldest is planning to marry and move out in the coming months, so I know somewhat how you feel. Everything will be okay, you'll see.

  6. Aww..I feel for you. Mine left just a couple weeks ago. I miss him so much and he's only 30 miles away!! It'll be so bittersweet. Being proud on one hand and sad on the other. Hang in there!!

  10. While your heart aches, you may also find out that this is when your little girl will need you the MOST. All five of our kids are out of the nest, but each of them stayed in very close contact for the first few years, out on their own. They still need you while they are finding their way in the world. Our phone bills were through the roof!! and we didn't mind one bit. Hang in there Lisa, you have all our support & {{hugs}}
