49 and Market "Framed in Flowers"

I want to share with you, how I absolutely adore one of the new mini collections from 49 and Market. Serendipitous is simply awesome in many ways.  To create my dimensional layout,  I cut out around the inside perimeter  of the paper using only the image of the frame. I adhered it to a piece of corrugated cardboard and cut out the middle of the cardboard. Then I adhered it onto another piece of corrugated cardboard and painted the exposed cardboard with black gesso. The result was a 12x12 shadowbox look to it. Then the embellishing began!!

For the Frame I used Dusty Attic's  small Garden Tile Frame and rubbed it with Brilliance wax in Lucky Emerald, then for more shimmer, rubbed in some Pearlex Powdered Pigments in Brilliant Yellow.

I absolutely love doing floral clusters, mixing the beautiful flowers with the cutouts from the Laser Cut Sheet of elements from the collection. The viney leaves are simply divine!!

Just to give the layout a little of a French Country feel, I added a couple pieces of the Archival Board to the inside corners because it reminded me of chicken wire screen. I rubbed it with the Brilliance wax in Lucky Emerald, then dabbed on some Tim Holtz distress paint in yellow.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you were inspired!!

49 and Market...Love Knows No Boundaries

Hello Lovelies...I am coming to you this week with some 49 and Market inspiration using the Captured Adventures collection. I love that it can be used for so many themes. It could be very nautical, and is the reason I chose a photo taken at the beach. But use it for your travel photos!! It is the perfect addition to your paper stash!

For the title on the layout, I used the phrase from the strip of paper that normally would be thrown out. I love that 49 and Market does something with each strip to add to your projects. I layered it on a piece of left over paper and popped it up on the page with some pop dots. This adds wonderful dimension.

My layouts are usually pretty chunky and would go best in a shadow bow, or free standing. I love to layer for a dimensional look. Not only layering the papers, but building layers with flowers, embellishments and chipboard. I want my floral clusters to stand out as if tit were a real garden.

The laser cut shapes are wonderful to layer and embellish. I added an eyelet to the tag and used a string from the burlap to loop through it. I also used a piece of string from the burlap that I tied around the ticket. then popped both off of the page using pop dots.

Here is a file I created of the dragonflies used in the layout. Just click, save, print and fussy cut. I used Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer and while it was still wet I sprinkled some Twinklets Diamond Dust  on it for sparkle.

Thank you for visiting today. I look forward to inspiring you with all of the wonderful product from 49 and Market. You can visit my blog for more details and closeups and a special treat.
