Scraps Of Elegance October kit and Sketch Interpretation.

This months Scraps Of Elegance kit is simply gorgeous!!  Rue De Rosiers. It is named after The most famous flea market in Paris is the one at Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas).  It covers seven hectares and is the largest antique market in the world, receiving between 120,000 to 180,000 visitors each weekend. Let your imagination and the  October kit take you there...
Here is the beautiful sketch to start your mojo flowing. Even the colors in the sketch had me drooling!! And how nice, that I get to play with The Avenues once again. So yummy!!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch. I always start with the intention of following it to the last detail, and it always gets away from me..But that is the joy of inspiration!! Take the path less traveled!! You will be delighted!!

The colors of the flowers in the add on kit were beautiful and begged for a bit more color to distress them. My beautiful friend Limor Webber kindly gifted me with a set of Lindys Stamp Gang newest color set, Industrial Chic. Limor created the set and it is truly beautiful!! My favorite color combinations!! Blues, greens, teals and a bit of steel and warm brown. The colors were perfect with these papers and the kit!!

The fall leaves were not part of the kit but begged to be placed on this layout. My very talented friend Lynne Woolgar created a tutorial to show how she created the lovely leaves. CLICK  HERE to see how she did it!!!

I tucked some of the flowers under the photo and just realized I didnt spray them!!! oops...

I love the Heidi Swapp Definitions Stickers. Easy easy journaling!! I tucked a few in around this layout. You can see a bit of masking with texture paint I did. I used the Crafters Workshop Tiny Circles mask.

Just another view of the flowers and leaves.

And a closer view of the flowers that I forgot to spray!!! lol

Here is a full view of one of the floral clusters and the journal sticker.

Scraps Of Elegance October ***Rue des Rosiers*** Second Reveal

The beauty of the Rue des Rosiers October kit is not only the gorgeous Websters Pages and BoBunny papers, but everything else in the kit and the add ons is just perfect!!! It is so wonderful for me to work with BoBunny's The Avenues paper because as a DT member for BoBunny. I get to play with lots of this collection!! I am so happy that Scraps Of Elegance has added it to this kit.

Getting the Heidi Swapp white flowers in the kit was a perfect choice as I used some color sprays to color them to compliment the other flowers.

I backed the stickers with some green card stock from the add on kit.

The butterflies from Reneabouquets are beautifully hand crafted and one of a kind. I love them!! There is also cheese cloth in the kit that I sprayed and tucked under the flower cluster.

I die cut the leaves from leftover pieces of the BoBunny papers and sprayed them using the awesome Lindys Industrial Chic sprays that my dear friend  Limor Weber sent me. I thought the colors in this kit matched prfectly with the sprays in the Industrial Chic collection.

This is the first time I used the Crate Paper photo overlays that came in the embellishment add on kit. They are absolutely awesome!! It is like using a Photoshop filter on your photo's, but the overlays are an instant fix!!

I used a mask and some distress ink to create the leaves. It just added a bit of something something to the paper. I blended 3 different colors to highlight and shade the colors.

The little butterfly was fussy cut from the Websters Pages paper. They are my favorite butterfly!! I love them soooo much that I scanned it to my computer, made a file of different sizes when they first came out, and now I have an endless supply of the butterflies!

Head on over to the Scraps Of Elegance website and check out the kit and all of the add ons. Think about joining this wonderful Kit Club so that you don't miss out on another kit again. If you want to join the club CLICK HERE.

Bo Bunny and Autumn Song...

I hope you stop by the BoBunny Blog today and see what Juliana, Romy and Gabrielle have created using the Autumn Song Collection. All of the designs are simply fabulous!! From fiery reds and oranges to the gorgeous richness of green and purple. We have something that we hope you will be inspired by. Versatility!!

Apple Picking in the fall up north is so much fun. This photo of my brothers girlfriend reminded me of the beautiful colors of Autumn Song. I used a die cut paper from an older BoBunny collection and designed a template for my patterned paper, then cut out the wonderful design. I did a little  machine sewing around the design because it defines the curves of the paper. I then heat embossed the stamp design using a rich red embossing powder. I sprayed the doily and used it as the base of my photo mat.

I layered the Noteworthy pieces and used pop dots to raise the design and make it dimensional. Then I used the letters from the Fright Delight collection for the title of the page. It matched perfectly.

I clustered my flowers on the top and the bottom of the page to frame the photo. I mixed the BoBunny blossoms with my own handmade blossoms that I created with the Double Dots papers. Adding the jewels to the centers of the flowers finished them beautifully. I lightly inked all of the flowers to bring them all together.

I love the dimensional stickers that BoBunny has. This little banner is a perfect little swag for my photo. it gives the layout more texture.

And lastly you can see how I used both of the floral clusters to kind of hug the photo. A perfect backdrop to a beautiful photo.

Scraps Of Elegance October Kit Reveal ***Rue des Rosiers***

The  October Scraps Of Elegance kit is very near and dear to my heart this month, because it contains gorgeous papers  from  Bo Bunny The Avenues collection !! It also has a beautiful array of Websters pages collection that coordinate beautifully. When add the wonderful Add-Ons for the kit, the artistic possibilities are endless!!

For my first reveal with the kit, I used papers from Bo Bunny The Avenues collection. I absolutely love the coral colors in the papers. The Prima Roses from the add on flowers are white, and I sprayed them with Color Shine from the add on color kit. I love the Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays. They even smell nice. But the shimmer and color saturation is beautiful!! They match the paper to  perfection. I die cut the photo mat from a Spellbinders die using card stock from the add on card stock kit and colored it with my Lindy's Stamp Gang new Industrial Chic sprays designed by my fabulous friend Limor Weber!! I pooled a couple of the colors on my non stick craft mat and dragged the photo mat through it.

The corner cluster was put together by die cutting a leafy flourish and setting it over one of the flowers I colored. the pearls and little roses are from my stash.

Here is a view of the other flowers. The coral color is one of my fave summer colors.

I backed the peekaboo cutouts with left over paper scraps and punched them with my Martha Stewart Loop Punch.

The wonderful cheese cloth in the kit was colored with the Color shine and tucked under the flower cluster.

I created the little tag which serves as my journaling from embellishments in the kit. The tiny butterflies were punched from one of my Martha Stewart 3 in 1 punches. These are the tiniest butterflies in the punch. They are precious!

Just another view of the corner cluster.

Thanks for stopping by to see my latest project. This kit is simply awesome! Be sure to go check it out and become a subscriber.

BoBunny Autumn Song is in Season!!

In Florida, we don't have the turning of the leaves in Autumn. So I am living my Fall through my BoBunny Autumn Song collection. And what a beautiful collection it is. Imagine all of those beautiful Autumn photo's you have that can be adorned with this collection. I was forced to scour Tumbler and Pinterest to find the perfect photo to represent such a beautiful season. Mu husband is going to North Carolina this month. Perfect leaf peeping season. He promised he would takes pictures for me. A selfie would be nice...Nah..He wouldn't dare do it!!!! lol

You may notice the flowers from a previous post I did. Those were the left over flowers from this project. I found the perfect colors with Heidi Swapps Color Shine Sprays to compliment the papers I used. Georgia Peach was used to enhance the color of the boBunny Double Dot paper I used to create the flowers.. I used Sizzix Susans Garden die, and the McGill star punch. I inked the base of the petals using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Fired Brick and after the flowers were assembled I sprayed the flowers using Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Georgia Peach. But I just concentrated the spray on the middles of the flowers.

I found the letters for this chipboard from the Fright Delight collection.

Just a closeup o f the beautiful photo I found on Tumbler. I wish the artists would leave their name so that they can be acknowledged for their artistic eye.I do have an old oak tree out back and will find the occasional acorn, and I have some dead leaves that look like Fall leaves. I could have produced the photo myself. Well, maybe not. Still looks like Florida. I am going to try though..

You can find the file for these butterflies at the end of this post. The BoBunny flourish is from the 12x12 Autumn Song chipboard.

Just another closeup of my flowers.

A different angle of the flowers.

Just when you think you have enough dies, or just don't need another tag die, I saw a project using the Sizzix Alterations medium size tag and tie die..Loved it. Off to Joannes I went. I created the tag with thin chipboard, covered it with pattern paper, added the BoBunny  chip board piece from the 12x12 set and tied some twine through the hole.  I asked my friend Cathi Smith O'Neill what my layout was missing before I previewed it. She said...Seam Binding through the tag hole!!!  Thanks Cathi for your artistic eye!!! Ya gotta LOVE your friends!!

Celebrating the coming of Card Day with BoBunny!!

I think that the Autumn Song Collection is one of my favorites, with its glorious colors of Autumn in crisp orange, red and greens. The card I created can be used throughout the holiday season. I die cut leaves from the pattern paper. It is perfect in getting the variegated look of real leaves. A little inking on the edges  gives the leaves dimension. I don't usually make cards, but I think the card making bug has caught me. I love doing tags, shouldn't be to hard!! Thank you to my favorite card making artists, Becca Feekin, Klaudia and Dorota Kopec for all of your gorgeous inspiration!! Lets see where your inspiration takes me!

 Holiday Wishes card

I stamped directly on the chipboard banner.

For the corners of the card. I used embossing ink and a fine pale yellow embossing powder and heat embossed it creating a raised textured elegant effect. The leaves were die cut from a Spellbinders die and inked around the edges for dimension.

I simply adore the BoBunny Flowers!!

                                                     Flowers: Harvest Orange Daisy
                                                  Cardstock: Almond Dot/Double Dot

Happiness Card

This card can be used for many occasions. I wanted to keep it simple, but a little bit grungy. The Stain Texture Stamps was perfect for achieving a little grunge. I used a couple of the stamps to outline the  lighter layer of the card. I layered the card and raised the layers with pop dots for dimension. I love the little stains on each individual heart.  I used the largest stamp in the collection for the background to the hand cut stamps.
