Lindys Stamp Gang July 2015 Color Challenge

JULY!!!!! That means there is a new Lindys Stamp Gang Color challenge. Today is Day 2 Reveal. I absolute LOVE  this color palette. Well, I love all of them, but this one is so soft and summery!! I just made it bold!! I wanted to do something a little different, so my work base started out with a 10x16 piece of corrugated cardboard. I adhered 2 pieces of white card stock to the cardboard  using matte ModPodge. This gives it a great seal. Then I brushed on white gesso, then clear gesso and this gave the base a "bite" to it. Like preparing canvas for paint. Then the fun beginsI used texture paste on the background. Then I spritzed some water on it and then layered 2 colors. Blue Hawaiian Blue Starburst Spray and Aloha Avocado Starburst Spray. I let the colors run and bleed until I liked the desired look.

The gorgeous photo is courtesy of This Little Light Of Mine Photography. Tammy is a fantastic photographer who captures the beauty in newborns. Her talent is amazing. I am honored to be able to use her amazing work for my work. Visit her Facebook Page. Thank you Tammy...
All of my Chipboard is from The Dusty Attic. I used Lindys  Madonna Robe Blue Gold Embossing Powder after priming the chip board with Dusty In Colour Navajo White. The 2 toned effect of the embossing powder is just incredibly gorgeous. The title Dreams is from Word Pack #17 The word  Sweetness is from Word Pack #20.  The photo corners are Mini Corners #2. The piece under the photo is a piece of the French Flourish Border

I am always on the lookout for beautiful silk flowers. Then I strip them from their stems and store them in a clear plastic bag and hang them from my  flower rack. I used Lindys Blue Hawaiian Blue Starburst Spray Aloha Avocado Starburst Spray and Peony Scarlet Red Starburst Spray on the flowers. I touched the tips if the green flowers with the Scarlet Peony Red spray.

The layout is full of texture. The different textures from rough, to soft to smooth to sleek, is evenly balanced and pleasant to the eye.

The leaves were die cut from card stock and sprayed with Aloha Avocado Starburst Spray. The little red Prima flowers were a gift from my dear friend Delaina Burns. She remembered how I was searching high and low for the white ones. She is just the sweetest!! My white flowers are now a gorgeous Peony Scarlet Red!!

The butterflies were stamped, then painted using the colors from this months Color Challenge. If you purchase the July 2015 Limited Edition Mega Set, you will get everything!! The beauty of this is you dont have to think about what colors to use, they are all coordinated for you!.
