Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team June 2015 Blog Hop

If you came from the very talented Ujjwal Gupta's blog ,then you are on the right track.
Welcome to the July Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop!! I get so excited when I have to do the hop each month because I get to pull out my Heartfelt Creations stuff!! This month I am using stamps from the newest Blazing Poppy Collection. This collection is REALLY beautiful!!  I just simply adore flowers!!!
You have until Midnight, July 3rd. to leave a comment on as many of our blogs as you can.  The winner of the $25 gift certificate will be announced on Saturday July 4th.  Good luck to everyone!

For the flowers I used the Blazing Poppy Petals Cling Stamp Set. After they were die cut using the
Blazing Poppy Die, I sprayed them with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Tea Pot Purple  and painted in a darker color Sweet Violet Purple Teal to give the flowers dimension.I used 2 layers for each flower.

For the leaves, I used the Classic Leaf Cling Stamp Set and Open Leaf Precut set. Then I  die cut them from green card stock using the  Classic Leaf Die  .I absolutely love that I dont have to fussy cut my leaves. The Heartfelt Creations exclusive dies, to match the stamps are a snap to use.

The title on the layout is DustyAttic chipboard from the Word Pack #20. I primed it with Dusty in Colour Navajo White and while the paint was still wet, I dabbed it with Dusty in Colour Cranberry acrylic paint.

I used the leafy vines to frame my photo. The papers in my layout were all mounted on Corrugated cardboard and built up for dimension. I used smaller pieces of the cardboard between each layer for depth. I raised each flower up a bit with a piece of cardboard.

Here is a close up of the layers I used to achieve depth in my layout. I love using corrugated cardboard. Saving the planet, 1 box at a time!!

Thank you for joining me today for the Blog Hop. I hope you will be inspired along the way. There are so many beautiful stamps, papers and dies in the Heartfelt Creations Store. I can spend hours in the gallery to see all of the beautiful creations. Check out the newest arrivals. I promise you wont be disappointed. The videos and tutorials will get our creative mojo flowing!!
