Blue Fern studios Ala Natural style...

Hi..Lisa here with my July 3rd Blue Fern Studios Reveal. I started thinking about all of the ways to alter your chip board. But when I pulled out my Kraft paper, I noticed it was the same color as my BFS chip board. So I decided to do a monochromatic type layout using Kraft paper and leaving the chip board as raw as possible. I really love the look. I have so much left from my June Donna Salazar Guest Design Team package. She was very generous and I will continue to promote her gorgeous products as I fell in love with everything I received.  The paper I used is from the Natural Beauty collection.

Just another angle to the wreath cut out. The smaller flowers on the half wreath are created from just the stamen die in the Die-Namics My Favorite Things Flower die Botanical Beauty set.

Another view of the wreath.

Extreme closeup of the peeled chip board. The beautiful thing about it is, I have more pieces I can use now!! And they can be peeled again for more layers!! I did a little machine sewing around the paper as well.

I only used a small amount of ink to soften the hard edges of the chipboard and create some shading. I used Kraft paper to create the flowers to match the chip board. The flowers were created with my new Die-Namics My Favorite Things Flower die cut from the Kraft paper in the Donna Salazar Mix'd Media Stax, then I sprinkled some Art Institute Glitter Elements Earth Textures into the middles.

I cut the Large Floral Wreath in half. Then I misted it heavily with a spray bottle and water. I got the inspiration from Jennifer Snyders use of the wreath. I was then able to very carefully, peel the top layer away from the wreath. The edges curled slightly while it air dried. After it dried, I inked the edges slightly with Mix'd Media Inx in Leather.

I also just inked the title as well...

I die cut the Memory Box  Butterfly and left them plain without inking. The brick mask is Donna Salazars design. And I used Mix'd Media Inx in Leather using a foam applicator for a softer look.

I inked the hearts with Mix'd Media Inx in Leather, then clear embossing ink, and  sprinkled  some brown distress embossing powder over the hearts and heat embossed them. When they were dry, I tied some Hemptique Hemp Cord around them.

I designed this card to give to my friend who is going on a hot air balloon ride for her birthday in September.I added the butterfly for added visual interest in the flight theme. Now that I am looking at it, I may add a tiny journal spot that says Up Up and way...I used the same Kraft paper for the card and added some Donna Salazar Designs Designer Embellies - 8x10 Corrugated Board.

Just a side angle to the card. I tied some twine around part of the card.

Keeping the style of the card simple, helped to bring out the design of the balloon.

I painted the balloon with blue acrylic paint to match the blue paper and added the Stickles and some pearls to it.

I added a single butterfly for visual interest. Signifying flight.
