I used watercolor paper to die cut the leaves and roses and the hand cut spiral flowers. I sprayed them very slightly with water, then with the sprays and let the colors bleed. Marigold Yellow Orange Starburst Spray and Rudolph's Nose Red Starburst Spray. On my craft mat, I sprayed a little of both colors to blend them and get a variation of different colors, Very subtle, but effective.
For the frame I layered a Sizzix frame die cut with Dusty Attic Chipboard to cluster my frame.I used Flourish #8 and Foliage #2 . I used gesso to prime the pieces, then used Spring leaf Chartreuse Embossing powder and heat set it.I used Byzantine Bronze embossing powder (not in the Mega Set) on the stems of the leaf vines.
The Dusty Attic title Remember Today from the Mini Captions #2 set was also primed with gesso and then heat embossed with Candy Cane Red Embossing Powder.
This is just another closeup of the flowers and leaves. I popped some half pearls in the middles.
The butterflies were diecut and colored the same way that the flowers and leaves were colored with the exception that I did want full coverage so I just spritzed them with color and left some of the white paper show through.
I used Prima wire thread for the body of the butterflies and just glued some string pearls over them. Very simple.
