49 and Market Trio of Shutter Cards

Hello Lovelies!! Today I bring to you a Trio of Shutter Cards. I know we have a lot of 49 and Market card fans, so I decided to do something special.  If you aren't sure what a shutter card is, just go to You Tube and check out the many tutorials to do them. I know I have a stash of bits and pieces of laser cuts and paper. These pieces are perfect for turning into cards because they are the perfect size. I created 3 different cards. For 2 of them I used a coordinating card stock for the base, and for one I used Kraft cardstock for a natural look. Each card has a belly band that I created for the closure. Each belly band was decorated with flowers, laser cuts and lace.

Remove the belly band to reveal the surprise message when you open the card. Each card has different  message. But besides words, you could also place small photos behind the shutter, or just pretty pictures. I used the word "Believe" stamp from the Vintage Remnants Label Stamps for this card.  You could also adhere the printed paper to the inside of the card, but I left this card

Here is a closeup of one of the cards. For the belly band, I saved the scalloped circle from the cutout on this inside of the card. I wrapped the belly band with a piece of the Lacy Trim, then adhered the circle to the middle. I placed the butterflies, and flowers in the center and tucked in the leaves and laser cut berries in layers.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you are inspired to create your own shutter cards! They were a lot of fun to create! xo
