Journal Buddy Blog Hop

Have you heard about the Journal Buddy?? It is a wonderful creation designed by Yvonne Blair. The Journal Buddy is a multi-functional tool that helps you add artful journaling to any paper crafting project.

The Journal Buddy is made out of high quality stencil material that is not only pliable but it is also see through so you can see where you are adding lines. The Journal Buddy features a wavy and straight edge, a ruler, straight edges on each side to line it up so your journaling stays straight, as well as line guides for you to ink, trace, paint, or spray onto your page. You will be amazed at how easy it is to use adding decorative journaling to you art journals, scrapbook layouts, cards and envelopes and more. You can have a chance to win a Journal Buddy of your own. Read on!!
I created a 12x12 layout  to showcase the Journal Buddy.

You don't have to add lines to you project to use the journaling buddy. In my case, because I have heavy stenciling using modeling paste and the surface was very uneven, I taped the journaling Buddy to my layout, and slipped the cut out stamped words under the Journaling Buddy, through the slits. It isn't perfect, but I wasn't aiming for perfection. But I do like the fact that it allowed me to space it all evenly without even thinking about it.

You can arrange the journal Buddy lines anywhere. It really does make life easier when it comes to lining up those words. I used the straight lines, but you can also use the curvy lines as well. There are many possibilities.

I stamped the sentiment, which is actually 2 different stamps that I was able to use together to create my journaling. After I stamped them onto cardstock, I cut them out each individually.

We are celebrating being picked as the editor’s choice in the Oct-Dec Issue of Stampers Sampler by Stampington. Each one of us will be giving away a journal buddy on Friday Oct. 7. Your comment must be received by noon October 7.
If you leave a comment on each blog you will be put in for a drawing to win a Journal Buddy, Art Journal and Stampers Sampler Magazine Bundle. The winner will be announced October 7th at 7:00 pm. All winners will be notified by email and announced on Yvonne’s blog Oct 7 at 7:00pm.

Make sure you visit all of the blogs below to see how each designer has used the journal buddy. Then leave a comment for your chance to win.
