Katie Pertiet Designs digital Chippy Sunrise Paper Pack 01 "Fun in the Sun layout"

Hello Lovies...Its been a while. Hot summer has arrived in my  part of the world, but that means fabulous sunrises, sunsets and the beach!! What better to match those fabulous photos is an equally fabulous line of paper. Katie Pertiet Designs has a wonder Chippy line, and I used the Chippy Sunrise Paper Pack 01 and some of the Chippy Foundations Paper Pack 14. The colors are so vibrant and matched the photos of my granddaughter at the beach beautifully.

I matted the photos on black cardstock and left a very slim 1/8th of an inch border. I backed it with some cardboard to lift it off of the page, and that created some dimension and separated them from the background.

I have a vast stash of Fabscraps chipboard from when I was on their Design Team. Although the Fun In The Sun chipboard I used is discontinued, there are other chipboard companies or SVG cuts out there that you could use instead. I used Ranger archival inks, blended the colors in a faded fashion, and heat embossed it with a clear Ultra Thick embossing powder. I love the unexpected speckled design it created.

I created the flowers using Elizabeth Craft Design floral and leaf dies. The flowers were die cut from the Chippy Sunrise papers I printed onto Elizabeth Craft Design Soft Finish Cardstock I finished the flowers with Rajni Chawlas Crystal Clear for sparkle. The leaves were inked with Ranger Archival ink and splattered with watered down brown acrylic paint.

I used an old EK success punch to create the tag and documented info about the photos on the layout.

I had fun creating these flowers. And it was the perfect way to match the whole layout by bringing it all together.
