Summer is upon us, and here in sunny Florida the temp is already blazing!! Living a few miles from the beach my whole life, I have plenty of pictures to fill quite a few albums, so when BoBunny came out with Boardwalk, I was very excited!!The design, the colors and all of the embellies that coordinate are fantastic!!. Just be warned, this is pretty photo heavy, but I wanted to share different parts of the mini.
I constructed the mini myself. Believe it or not, I went green. I used the box that my design team products came in. Corrugated Cardboard can be used in so many different ways from placing behind embellies and photos to raise them off of the page, to the base of the pages themselves. I love the rustic feel of the raw edges for this mini. It is perfect. Like driftwood on the sand. For my mini, I used the cardboard for my covers and then covered it with Kraft paper. I covered the front and back with patterned paper and used some burlap to wrap around the spine.
Then I just started layering elements on the cover. Yu will find the Misc. Me journaling cards sprinkled all around this album. I just love them!!

I used jute as the closure because the mini is a little chunky.
I created some dangles with beads and a very adorable glass bottle that have been in my stash forever. I filled the bottle with sand from my back yard, then sealed the bottle shut.
Here you can see the how rustic and beachy my album pages are.
I love the cutouts of some of the BoBunny papers as well as the Noteworthy. They are great for page fillers.
I took the sand dollar from the Noteworthy collection, covered it with glue and went to my back yard and stuck it in the sand. Love the texture it left.
I did some layering of the Journaling cards and tied the tag on with jute.
I used a Tim Holtz 3 ring binder for my pages. I also placed a book ring through the top to hold my dangles on the outside of the album.
I left the backside plain because I hated to cover this gorgeous paper. I have a thing for weathered wood. I may end up putting something on here.
The next few photos will show the individual pages in the album. I created a couple of pocket pages and tags using Kraft card stock to use as a base for my BoBunny papers.
I left some of the corrugated cardboard raw to use as a photomat. I also used a few pieces of burlap for a base for the cut out cards. I used a decorative trim to surround the photo mat.
Here is another pocket page for my tag. I used wide eyelets on my pages and tags that were adhered using a Cropodile.
I die cut the seahorse from a paper that had seahorses on it "Drift" and the textures were perfect!
Here is a closer look at the sea horse mounted on the Noteworthy Light house. I used corrugated cardboard to back the light house and the sea horse. I used a Martha Stewart wide edge punch because it reminded me of scallops. You can slide tags behind the scalloped edge.
Closeup of the card adhered to burlap. I love the light color of the burlap mixed in with the lighter colors of the papers. Reminds me of our Florida sand.
I tucked some smaller BoBunny blossoms here and there in the mini. I topped the blue one with a button, and the beige flowers were topped with Noteworthy starfish,
