It's a great month for a
Color Challenge!!! If you had not noticed, every month is a good day for a color challenge with Lindy's Stamp Gang!! The colors this month are some of my favorite combinations. Blues, pinks, browns. Love them!! I created photo book that can hold multiple photo's and cards for journaling. I love flowers and butterflies and had to incorporate both on the cover. Once the whole album was done, I sprayed it with
Creme Brulee Cream Starburst Spray. It gave it a light golden sparkle to the entire cover. If you have ever followed
Ginger Ropp {
My Sisters Scrapper) on her You Tube Channel, then you know why I am hooked on created mini's. She is simply phenomenal, and such an inspiration for me! I followed her
Waterfall Folio tutorial.
Lindy's embossing powder can be applied to just about anything. I painted the metal key with white gesso, sprayed it with
Sandra Dee Sepia Flat Fabio Spray, then heat embossed some
Midnight Bronze Embossing Spray in random spots on the key. I added the rhinestone to dress it up a bit, and match the gorgeous pink in the flowers and ribbon. The leaves were die cut and sprayed with
Time Travel Teal Starburst Spray and toned down with a bit of
Sandra Dee Sepia Flat Fabio.
The flowers were sprayed with
Sandra Dee Sepia and
Plumeria Pink Flat Fabio. They are just plain white flowers I stripped from a silk flower stem, I purchased at Hobby Lobby.
I tied the album together using ribbon that I sprayed with
Plumeria Pink Flat Fabio spray.
Here is a close up of the ribbon. It is silk ribbon that started off a light beige color. Silk soaks up the color beautifully and leaves it soft and subtle. Unlike other sprays that can leave the ribbon stiff.
This is the inside of the photo album. I picked papers in my stash to match the colors in the color challenge. This is
DCWV, the Happy Day Stack. The colors and patterns are beautiful! I fussy cut the page with the frames and popped them up on some of the pages.
I also found butterflies in my collection that matched the colors and just enhanced the pinks a bit by painting them with
Plumeria Pink Flat Fabio. Once it was dried, I covered the butterflies with Clear Crackle medium which made the colors vibrant. The frame started out a silver color. I painted it with white gesso, sprayed it with
Sandra Dee Sepia Flat Fabio Spray, then heat embossed it with the
Midnight Bronze embossing powder. It came out beautiful!! Lindys embossing powders are simply luxurious.
I used a Dusty Attic Chipboard and simply heat embossed it with
Midnight Bronze embossing powder. No priming needed. I love the 2 toned effect the embossing powders have .
This is just a close up of the waterfall feature. There is plenty of room for photo's. You can use both the front and the back of each page.
Why don't you give it a shot at the
March Color Challenge this month. You could win a $50.00 Gift certificate to the Lindy's Stamp Gang Store!!
Thank you for joining me today. Hope to see you color your world using Lindy's!!
