Smile***BoBunny***

The Rose Cafe Collection from BoBunny is so versatile when it comes to themes you may want to scrap. Blues, yellows, pinks, and rosy colors lets you mix and match in many combinations. I picked out the Blossoms in Blush and worked around that color. I mounted the papers on a 12x12 piece of corrugated cardboard. I cut out a square from the bottom paper and saved it to use for the flourishes and butterfly that I cut in my Cameo. I used the stencil and molding paste in the background and stamped it in a few places. I also used the stitch stamp around the edge using the Punch Pink ink.

I die cut the Flourish leaf clusters and butterfly with my Silhouette Cameo. The leaves behind the flowers were die cut from a Spellbinders die.

The smaller leave flourish is the same as the larger one, just scaled down a bit. That is the beauty of the Cameo. Creating any size you want.

I layered the photo mats on corrugated cardboard, then wet the edges and peeled the paper back a bit. I layered  the mats before placing the photo on it.

The wood pieces were finished by adding texture paste. Once the texture paste was dry, I rubbed the Blush Pearlescents Paint over it until it was covered.

The frame is a chipboard peice from the Madeleine Collection, which by the way coordinates very well with Rose cafe!

Thank you for joining me today. Check out the BoBunny Blog for daily inspiration. And stay tuned, Very soon, the Designers will work with  6 new Collections from BoBunny.

Mini Journal Cover Dusty Attic

I am over the moon excited to be sharing my very first Dusty Attic project with you! I am what you call a Dusty Attic Fanatic. I had  a wonderful collection of gorgeous Dusty Attic product before my Design Team package arrived, so I was able to complete the cover for this mini album on time for my post today.
Before I added my elements to my cover, I used a mask and some texture paste to give the cover a textural feel.  I added the Mini Corner #2 to the corners of the album..

The flowers I used are Dusty in Bloom Wild Moss. The leaves are also from Dusty Attic.  To finish the frame and the corner pieces, (I only  used 1 piece of the frame and will save the base for another project) I painted the pieces  by combining 2 different Dusty In Color paints.  Dusty in Colour Oceania and Dusty in Colour Jungle Green. I used more blue than green. Once I mixed the 2 together, I painted the frame. When the paint dried, I used some Dusty in Colour Clear Crackle Varnish. Once the frame was dry and crackled, I used the Vintage Photo distress ink on the edges. I placed the photo behind the framed window.

To adorn the spine, I cut off  2 pieces of the French Flourish Border and butted them together. I just discovered that Dusty Attic has the French Flourish 2 pack to coordinate with the border!! I heat embossed the pieces with Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing powder in Desert Moon Turquoise.
Then I used some Ranger distress ink in Vintage Photo on the edges and adhered the pieces to the spine.

Once again, I mixed together Dusty in Colour Oceania Dusty in Colour Jungle Green and painted the spine that I cut from Grunge Bord. I love using it because it is flexible. Perfect for  mini album spine. I love the color and wanted some shimmer, so I sprayed it with Lindys Royal Peacock Fire Glitz Spray. It leaves a gorgeous bluish shimmer without changing the color of the paint.

The  Door Handle Plate pieces were heat embossed the same as above. I colored some seam binding and strung it through the holes I punched out with my Cropadile. I placed one piece on the front, and the other on the back covers.

I created the journal with corrugated cardboard and covered the cover, back, and pages with patterned paper from Prima's  Seashore Collection. I used my Dusty Attic paint mixture watered down a bit to give the pages a vintage washed look. I will use the pages for future Dusty Attic art journaling.

Here is the side view of the journal closed.  I painted the edges as well, getting into the grooves.

January 2015 Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop and WINNER

The winner is Patricia Arana..You have 72 hours to claim your prize. email Emma Lou with "Winner of January Alumni Hop" in subject line.

New Year, New Inspiration!! Welcome to the 1st Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop of the 2015. If you arrived here from the very talented Emilia van den Heuvel's  Blog, you're on the right track. I wanted to do a card this month because  have to start building my card stash for the year.
To prepare the background of the card, I used a BoBunny stencil and texture paste. I used the retired Vintage Word Background PreCut Set in random spots. I then sprayed it with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Pretty in Pink Pink.

Then I layered the flowers and leaves. For the stamped flowers, I used the now retired Botanical Floral 1 and 2 Precut Sets. The dies that  match the stamps is the Rose Creations die from Spellbinders. The leaves are the Open Leaf PreCut Set with the matching Custom  Design Die Classic Leaf. I added a pearl to the middle of each flower. I sprayed the flowers with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Caribbean Bue. The leaves were colored with Lindys Maidenhair Fern Green.

I used one of the sentiments from the retired 3363 Inspire Me Sentiments PreCut Set. I cut apart the words. The butterfly die cut that I used is also a retired HC die. I tucked the wings here and there on the card.

I really love that the HC stamp sets are so interchangeable. The old and the new coordinate so well! It just  goes to show you that Classic style never goes  away. It also goes to show you, if you see a stamp set you really love, Grab it!! One day it may be retired.

The Hop closes Friday January 30th at midnight. Make sure you leave a comment to be eligible to win!
We will announce the winner on our blogs at noon on Sat. January 31st.
The winner receives a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations you just need to email Emma Lou with "Winner of January Alumni Hop" in subject line.

Pinterest Inspired Cards for BoBunny

Hello Everyone! I was inspired by the beautiful colors of this Pinterest inspired picture of a rose. The  pinks, greens, and browns are one of my favorite color combinations.  I love flowers and butterflies, so I thought the features on my cards should reflect that.  For my creations, I used the gorgeous BoBunny papers from the Primrose Collection. The cards can be used as all occasion cards that can go with many themes.

Pinterest Inspired photo

Butterfly Card by Lisa Gregory for BoBunny using Primrose.

These flowers were created by fussy cutting out the hexagon shapes in the paper, and shaping them  a bit, to give them texture. I created the middles by using a star punch, Double Dots paper,  and layering multiple shapes, then scrunching them together to create the fluffed look. I fussy cut the butterflies and painted them with crackle paint.

This second card focuses on the flowers I created. They were layered upon the  fussy cut medallion from one of the patterned papers. I placed a small piece of corrugated cardboard  in between the layers for dimension. I fussy cut the butterflies for this card as well.

There are multiple layers of flowers in different sizes to create each flower. I created the middles the same way as in the previous card.

Under the Sea Canvas...Lindys Stamp Gang

Greetings from sunny Florida, home of the Weeki-Wachee Mermaids!! If you have never seen a mermaid, then next time you visit Florida, make it a point to go see them at Weeki-Wachee. They are fantastic!!!
If you've never tried Lindys Stamp Gang Products, or if you need to replenish your stash now is the time to order!!   Don't forget the Color Challenge every month! You have a chance to win 1 of  5   $50 Gift Certificates to the store for your Color Challenge winning submission! Just look at the gorgeous palette this month. Don't forget to sign up for Lindy's newsletter for announcements, specials and more inspiration!

I created this canvas on the backside to create a shadow box effect. I lined the inside of the canvas with patterned paper. I created a frame shaped template of the outer part of the canvas using corrugated cardboard and covered it with patterned paper, wrapping around the edges, then attached it to the canvas. This covered the stapled raw seams of the canvas and created a beautiful finished framed. Shannon Berrey shows you how HERE. She used fabric. I used paper. Gotta love Pinterest.

Once my canvas was lined and covered, I primed the raw parts of the canvas with white gesso. Then I went over the entire prepared canvas with clear gesso preparing the surface for my Lindys Sprays. Once it was dry, I used a couple of masks and modeling paste on the prepared surface. Once the paste was dry, I used  variety of sprays in blues and greens over the entire piece. The colors I used are TiffanyLou Blue Starburst Spray, Tilt-a-Wheel Teal Flat Fabio Spray, and Merry Go Round Green Flat Fabio Spray. I used Distress ink in Vintage Photo, using a sponge applicator to age the entire project. The lovely Dusty Attic chipboard Swirl Vine #2, was primed with gesso, then I applied a thick layer of Distress Rock Candy Stickles mixed with a bit of clear Crackle Paint then colored with Frosty Forest Green and Lucky Shamrock Green Starburst Sprays.

For the Sizzix  die cut Sand-dollar and Seahorses, I used corrugated cardboard. I primed the pieces with white gesso. I sprayed the sand-dollar with Clambake Beige and Steampunk Sepia Starburst Spray, and the seahorses with Fuzzy Naval Peach Starburst Spray. Once dried, I covered the pieces with a thick layer of Ranger Clear Distress Crackle Paint. Once it dried and crackled, I added more of the sprays to each piece. Then used the distress ink to age the pieces.

Now, for the mermaid. She was my inspiration for this whole canvas. I created her with Fimo polymer clay. I learned how to create her from a wonderful video tutorial done by my oh so very talented friend Gabrielle Pollacco. CLICK HERE for the video. Love love loved creating this piece. I may have to do another!!I painted her hair with Clambake Beige Starburst Spray. Then I rubbed a bit of distress ink over it. The tail was colored with TiffanyLou Blue and Merry Go Round Green. Once it was dried, I gave it a spritz of Royal Peacock Fire Glitz Spray for extra dazzle. I rubbed the whole mermaid with Viva Inka Gold Metallic rub for a gilded look. I rubbed the metallic rub over various areas of the canvas. I also sprayed Glory Of The Seas Starburst spray over the whole entire canvas. It just shimmers and glows!!

This gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard piece "Foliage" was primed with white gesso, then heat embossed using Lindys embossing powder in Reindeer Moss Green Embossing powder. I edged it with Vintage photo distress ink, then added the pearls.

I  am fortunate to have lived within a few miles from the beach my entire life. My daughter collected the shells I used on this canvas on Honeymoon Island. They were the perfect size. I left them natural. Of course I had to add some pearls here and there.

I used  a piece of cheese cloth on the canvas behind my embellies that was colored with Lucky Shamrock Green Starburst Spray.

Lindy's 2015 January Color Challenge and EXCITING news!

Now for my next big secret that I have been harboring for a few weeks now!!!! I'm over the moon excited!! after spending 2 terms as a Seasonal Design Team member at Lindy's Stamp Gang , I have been invited to join them as a Resident artist!!! That's right. I'm now one of Lindy's Elite!!! Thank you Tracey, and Lindy's Family for believing in my work!! 2015 is going to rock my colorful world!!!! http://blog.lindystampgang.com/design-team/
Now to move on to the exciting stuff!! We have a brand new Color Challenge to kick off the new year! It has some of my absolute favorite colors!  Lavender and purple!! Hey, the Coral isn't so shabby either!! Here is the Limited Edition set I used.  January 2015 Color Challenge MEGA Set

The background paper is from Bo Bunny and the Collection. I did some spraying on it with Pop Rock Purple and Tea Pot Purple. Then I did some masking with molding paste and when it was all dry, I went over the entire page with Don't Eat Yellow Snow. That left  a shimmery golden hue over the entire layout.

This is just  closeup of the middle. I used a piece of Dusty Attic Brick Wall Panel chipboard, cut into the shape of a climbing trellis. I dabbed it with white acrylic paint. The purple flowers were sprayed with Pop Rock Purple and Jazzy Jivin Purple.

The coral flowers were die cut and sprayed with Cape Cod Coral. Once the petals were layered, I touched the edges with Puff Paint waited until it was dry, then hit it with  craft heat gun and watched the magic happen I added a pearl to the centers.

I stamped the dragonflies onto white cardstock using archival ink in black. Then I painted on the Lindys in Pop Rock Purple, Cape Cod Coral, and Jazzy Jivin Purple.Once it dried I used some Stickles for Sparkle.

I layered my stamped dragonflies to make them appear  as their wings were fluttering. .

I sprayed some white cheescloth with Jazzy Jivin Purple and tucked it under the photo I found on Pinterest.

Thank you for joining me for my 1st Blog Post of the year!! I am excited to be bringing to you lots of beautiful inspiration this year!!Visit Lindy Stamp Gang for the details on how to enter the Color Challenge.
