I'm a little late announcing, because I was in the gorgeous Mountains of Baily Colorado...At
Swirlydoos Camp!! But here is the June Kit..The Looking Glass...
You wanted it, you've got it! Our June collection, 'The Looking Glass', is the perfect collection of papers and embellishments to showcase your more masculine photos. This versatile collection has the perfect blending of paper and embellishments that were hand selected to honor the Grandfathers, Fathers, and precious sons who’ve touched our lives, and made us all who we are today. We invite you to take time this month to create a project in honor of these special men in your lives. We have also assembled a fine collection of add-on kits that compliment our main kit beautifully. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy the inspirational collection that we have thoughtfully prepared for you this month.

The papers in the kit were perfect for masculine layouts. I cant help but put flowers on it anyway..I cant do layouts without them. This is my husband. My one and only...

I just loved the tattered Angels Framed Fonts Chipboard set. I took it apart and attached a Timmy trinket.

I created the flowers using the Alterations Tattered florals die and card stock from the coordinating add on kit. Inked them up a bit for a grungy look. And my new
Heartfelt Creations leaf stamp and die.
leaf stamp and die. I colored them with glimmer Mist in Key lime Twist and Olive Vine.

More closeups of the flowers. I placed the small roses in the kit in the middle of the yellow flowers.

This next layout is of my father in law when he was 19 years old. He told me a professional photographer did his portraits. I outlined the layout with the stamps in the kit. Did some sewing and water distressing around the striped paper.

I used my new McGill punch to create the flower and colored it with Glimmer Mist in Waterslide, then inked it up a bit.

I used the
Heartfelt Creations leaf stamp and colored it with Moon Shadow mist in Incandescent Copper, then painted on some GM in Waterslide for accent color. The Glimmer Glass chippies were backed with cardstock and placed randomly around the layout.

Once again I used the Tattered Angels Chip board Fonts and placed my father in laws initial on the inside.

This next layout of my daughter was a challenge with all of the blue paper. I used plain Card Stock from the add on kit to create the background paper. I dabbed Adirondak acrylic paint in Snow cap along the edge of the card stock to mimic the patterned paper.

The smaller roses are in the kit, the larger ones are in the add on flower kit. When I was at camp, Kim lent me her Spellbinders die for the 12 inch vine. I used Glimmer Mist in Olive Vine to color it and accented with soft chalk ink in Chestnut Roan.

I misted some white Petaloo Flowers in Glimmer Mist Rum Punch and a very light spray of Pinecone over it.
The leaves are Heartfelt Creations Stamp and misted in Olive Vine and inked in Colorbox Chestnut Roan.

I cut a slit in the layout, used my Cropadile to set the eyelets and laced seam binding that I colored with Glimmer Mist in Rum Punch and a tiny amount of Pinecone, and laced it corset style, then tied a bow on the end. I folded and tacked the tails with my ATG Gun to give it a flowing look. The title was cut with my Cricut Expression.

This layout of my son and daughter in law was also completed at camp. I used a Prima Mask and soft brown ink to enhance the paper in all 4 corners. I borrowed LisaN's corner punch to do the circle.

I used the Alterations tattered Florals die to create the flowers. The middles were done with my McGill Sun punch using multiple layers.

The title was cut using my Cricut Expression, then Glimmer Misted and inked.

The
leaves are Heartfelt Creations and colored as in previous layouts. The butterflies are from a file I created for one of our Swirlydoos kits. They were scanned from a Websters Pages paper, then sized and changed the shape of some using Photoshop.

I used Peggy's Alterations Clock die for the photo frame. I used Moonshadow Mist in Glory Of The Sea Gold, then went over it with Crackle Accents for a very cool effect.

Another closeup of the flowers and leaves.

Glimmer Mist in Rum Punch is one of my go to colors.

This next layout was done with the kit, but created for the Heartfelt Creations Reveal last week. I don't know what happened to my post. It never posted and I had it on Auto post. I just realized it wasn't posted!! I created the background paper using the Heartfelt Creations leaf die cut, and used the diecut as a mask around the paper using Glimmer Mist. Then I used Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters to sponge the color on the leaves,

I cut out the Alterations Bird Cage and added a butterfly from a file I created from the Pink Paislee Butterfly collection papers.

I laced some of the beautiful May Arts Ribbon through the paper. And created the flowers from Heartfelt Creations stamps. I die cut the leaves using thin chip board and misted them with Glimmer Mist.

Created the background paper by using a Bella Rose leaf die cut and using it as a mask around a 12 x 12 piece of cream card stock and spraying with Glimmer Mist. (save the leaf diecut for your flower arrangment.) Then using an ink blender foam applicator, softly ink inside the outline of the leaves in green. Using a script paper, border punch one side and using a scallop template trace and cut the other side. Ink distress the edges. Weave a piece of ribbon through it and adhere to background paper. Place matted photo above the paper strip slightly offset to the side. Die cut, cut out and ink the innoscents flowers, distress slightly and layer for dimension. The tutorial for the yellow flower using the Posy Patch stamp can be found
HERE. The Glimmer Misted cage die cut, the vine, flowers and leaves were then arranged around the page. and a few printed butterflies were randomly scattered throughout the layout.

This next layout was NOT done with the kit. Instead, Krissy graced us with a wonderful pack of Graphic 45 papers at camp. Gosh they are beautiful. Botanicals is the line. This layout is my daughter who left for college almost 1 year ago. Her faith has gotten her through all of the rough spots of college life, thus the title. Living on the other side of the United States, on her own, working full time as a Security Officer for TSA and UPS at the airport (yup, she got certified as a security officer in Oregon!! She amazes me...), and attending Le Cordon Blu College of Culinary Arts full time, you have to be living on a prayer..Then to make the Honor Roll...Well, we are very proud!!! And she is very busy!! lol...
I used a Prima mask for the background paper design, then cut out the rounded parts and tucked the G 45 paper underneath the cuts. I placed some half pearls randomly on the design.

I created the tiny letters in Microsoft Word. The circle letters are punch outs from the G 45 line and placed on pop dots for dimension.

I Glimmer Misted white Petaloo Flowers and th
e Heartfelt Creation leaves. I used the Starburst McGill punch for the middles.

I also incorporated the Alterations Tattered Florals die for the larger flower.
This was a long post, but I had so much fun creating these layouts from this kit. It is very versatile and can be used for girls or boys!! The design is all up to you!! Thanks for looking!!
