If you arrived from Alissa's blog, then you are on the right track.
Welcome to the May Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop!! I have been playing around with all of my stamps lately, and my Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies are among my favorite. Especially for creating flowers. I created this beach themed layout on a simple piece of white cardstock that I backed with cardboard using Mod Podge. I coated the card board with the Mod Podge using a foam sponge, placed the 12x12 white card stock on the prepared board and used a brayer to smooth it all out. Once it is dried, you have a perfect canvas for your projects. And you can gesso, spray and use molding paste on it and the paper does not warp!! My new way of mounting layouts. Once the backround was sprayed lightly using Lindys Starburst Sprays, I then took my Heartfelt Creations Vintage Word Background PreCut Set, and using black ink, randomly stamped parts of the stamp around the page. I did some spattering with my spray nozzle as well.
For my flowers I used the Majestic Morning Background PreCut Set. I love that there is a Majestic Blooms die to easily die cut all of the flowers on the stamp at the same time. I did hand cut the flowers as I don't have the die yet.
I used Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst spray on the flowers using 3 different colors. Once the flowers were dried, I used my McGill stylus set and foam rubber to shape my flowers and give them dimension. I then layered them and placed a rhinestone in the middle of each one. Some of the flowers have some fine glitter on the edge of the petals for a little sparkle. My daughter spent the day on Honeymoon Island last week and collected some seashells for me to use on my layouts. I used some Lindy's to color the shells to coordinate with the layout. I also sprayed and tucked under the flowers, some gauze.
The chip board I used for my frame is Blue Fern Studios Twilight Garden Frame. I simply sprayed it using Lindys Starburst Spray. I didn't prime the chipboard this time and the spray soaked in and created a rich finish. Unfortunately, the Heartfelt Creations Leafy Swirls stamp I used, is retired. But they have many other beautiful leaf stamps and dies to match.
The next stop is Lisa Allens Blog.

Blue Fern Studios new paper line ***Ombre Dreams *** Featuring Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.
Blue Fern Studios has revealed a new paper line, Ombre Dreams. And I can tell you it is truly dreamy and gorgeous!! The Design Team just received the papers and has started creating beauty with it. Visit the Blue Fern Studios Blog to see the designers beautiful work. Paired with Blue Fern Studios chipboard, your projects are sure to become some of your faves!!
I fell in love with the colors of the papers on this one. Reminded me of the sea. I paired the papers with blue Fern Studios chipboard, and it was all covered in Lindy's Stamps Gang Sprays. I have colors that match perfectly as if they were made for the paper. Or the other way around!!
On the chipboard frame, I only used 1 part of the set. The other piece was used in another layout. You don't "have" to use the set as one. I got 2 pieces out of it! I primed it with white acrylic paint. When the paint was dry, I applied a crackle medium to it. Once the crackle paint was dry, I sprayed it with 2 colors of Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays. Shabby Turbine Teal (from the Industrial Chic collection), and bit of California Golden Poppy. I sprayed some gauze using the same colors as in the frame. I tucked it under the photo and around the frame.
I purchased frame at Micheals for $1.00, dismantled it and primed it with white acrylic paint. I primed the seashell chipboard as well. Then I sprayed them with Lindy's Starburst Bayou Boogie Gold. I did 2 coats of sprays drying in between.
I used a gel pen for the journaling. The quote is from Bram Stokers Dracula... Strange and lovely at the same time.
The flowers are a Prima vine that I have been hoarding forever. The colors were just perfect!
I used the outer part of the Damask Panel under my layered paper.I primed it with white acrylic paint and then sprayed it with Lindy's Starburst Spray in Shabby Turbine Teal and Rusty Lantern Lime.
I used Gingers Dream for my layout. I used 2 papers for the layers. As you can see, both sides are gorgeous!! You will want 2 or more of each paper. I just could not choose which side to use.
To see the rest of the Ombre Dreams line with closeups. Visit the Blue Fern Studios Wholesale store, then find a retailer near you! And then head on over to Lindys Stamp Gang and order sprays that will match your papers beautifully!! Or just start your collection of sprays, embossing powders and magicals!

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!!!! 2 layouts and a Mini Album for Blue Fern Studios
I am sooooo happy to be posting my projects on National Scrapbooking
Day!! I challenged my self to scrap 1 layout today for the occasion. I
am a slow scrapper, so this was really a challenge for me!! But it got
done!!! I followed the beautiful sketch for May and gave it a little
twist by mixing up the design a little. Don't forget to join the May sketch challenge.
Here is my take on the May Sketch Challenge. I used a Crafters Workshop mask and some molding paste and sprays on the background. Then just speckled the paper with the sprays. I die cut some tags and embossed them with a LeBlanch stamp, embossing ink and used a heat embossed powder on them. I simply colored some binding ribbon with the same spray I used throughout the layout. Heidi Swapp Georgia Peach. Lovely color!!
I heat embossed all of the chipboard with the same green color for continuity.I also used Blue Fern Garden Paper for this layout. The paper is Boudior.
I absolutely love the Dangles. Every singe one is just so elegant!! I used the Shabby Brick Bits here and there for texture.
Here is a closeup of one of the Dangles. I used distress embossing powder on them for a stone look finish.
This next project is a mini album I created and is still a work in progress at it will be a little chunky with tags, envelopes and pictures. The smaller Blue Fern Studios Chipboard is perfect for mini albums. I learned how to construct this mini album from my very good talented friend Frank Garcia. It is easy and i will use this technique often.
I heat embossed all of the chipboard with the same beautiful bronze color to make them look like metal bits. Then I also did the closure clips as well. I used thick card stock for the base of my pages so this is a very chunky mini.
Close up of the lock and key.
Here is a montage of 4 of the inserts that are placed in the pockets of my album. There are tags, fold out pockets and little envelopes that will be tucked into the mini.
Thank you for stopping by my Blog on such a special day. I hope you all have something planned to get creative. And I sure hope you include some Blue Fern Studios chipboard in your project!! It always adds that special touch! And go check out the Blue Fern Studios Blog for more info on entering the May Sketch Challenge.

I just love these Recollection flowers from Michaels. And at 60% off, I love them even more!!! I think I grabbed 4 packs of this coral color. They are the same as the Prima Tatiana flowers. My favorite!
I created the big flower by taking apart a silk flower, cutting off the petals, edging them with white puffy paint, puffing it up with a heat tool, then after it was dry, go over it with Stickles. Then I topped it with a Recollections flower. I then randomly placed some of the singe petals under the picture for added layers.

I created the journaling in Photoshop then just printed it out on card stock, cut the words out, inked the edges and applied it to my layout. I love the font!

HeArt and Soul (The Color Room/ScrapFor Help) Palette #168
Time for another gorgeous palette to play with!! This is palette #168, and I found it was perfect for a stash of BoBunny papers from the Silent Night Collection with a little bit of Happy Tails mixed in!!.
Go check out what the DT has created with this gorgeous palette and get creative with something of your own! Dont forget the twist!! Use a household item. This palette you must use "Thread". I did some sewing around my layout. But you could get very creative with thread!! Here is the palette...
Here is my 12x12 layout. Sometimes I just love the way certain colors come together. This is one of those times. The richness of the gold and the red with pops of blue...sigh....
I did some handmade flowers and mixed them with a Bobunny flower, and flowers I had in my stash that I kicked up with some pearl stamen.
I also used a Blue Fern Studios chipboard that I rubbed with Viva Colour Red metallic rub. I created the red butterflies in a file. I will post the file at the end of this post for your personal use.
Here is another closeup of the flowers. I used a spellbinders die for my red flowers. And a Sizzix Alterations die for the gold fillers off to the side.
The chipboard frame is Blue Fern Studios Beaded Strings. I just primed it with gesso, then sprayed it with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst spray.
Thank you for stopping by to take a look. Dont forget to go join in on the challenge. Head on over to The Color Room Blog. You have 1 month to do your project and load it into the My Linky Tool in the sidebar. BEFORE the 1st for your Chance to win a RAK from our Sponsor.
Right click on the butterflies and save. Print them up, cut them out, dazzle them with clear glaze and stickles and enjoy!!
