Vintage Artistry Nature Study/ 12x12 layout

Hello lovelies. If you love the beautiful outdoors, and a walk in the woods, you are absolutely going to love Vintage Artistry Nature Study. Moths, mushrooms, and butterflies in abundance. The papers are beyond beautiful. and all of the ephemera in the collection is absolute perfection. In back of my home, acres acres of woods. The fern grows wild, and moss and mushrooms can be found everywhere. Once in a while we find the most gorgeous moths and butterflies in my yard , so Nature Study is everything I love. The Nature Study Natural Habitat paper was adhered to a 12x12 piece of corrugated cardboard, and the edges were distressed and peeled back all around the edges.

I love the jar in the Ephemera Bits pack,  as it reminds me of the jars we used to catch fireflies when we were kids. I chose to stuff it with Mushrooms, a butterfly  and moss on the bottom. Then I cut out a piece of acetate and covered the jar. I tied a piece of jute around the jar, and topped the jar with a tiny lady bug.  I scattered mushrooms all around the layout. There are so many different varieties and colors. I used Ephemera Bits, Laser Cuts and washi sticker mushrooms.

I love the little looking glass. I placed a piece of acetate under the looking glass, and placed it on top of the layered Ephemera Bits frame, then I placed some of the Bits on top of the frame. I love the different sizes and colors of the frames. Layering them is so easy and there are so many ways you can layer them. I used a few of the 12x12 Sentiment Rub Ons around the layout as well as the ephemera bits sentiments.
The photo was placed behind the pedestal Ephemera Bits frame, I cut a small slit on the top of the jar, and tucked part of the base into the jar. All of the frames were popped up from the background paper for a bit of dimension.

I love the little twig tree from the laser cut elements. I tucked it in a base of moss, and added the little mushrooms that appear to be growing at the base of the tree. I also added some tinted green Art Stones scattered around the page. I placed pop dots under the mushrooms to pop them off of the page.

I hope you enjoyed your journey through Nature Study with me today. I hope that you create beautiful projects with this collection. xo

49 and Market Vintage Artistry Countryside Collection/Mini album in a box

Hello Lovelies. Today I am bringing you a project that I created using the beautiful Vintage Artistry Countryside. This collection has it all. The colors, design and theme are simply fabulous. A country theme like no other. I think it is kind of elegant! I created a mini album in a box. The beautiful,  Frances Long of Your Book of Memories, gifted me a couple of her classes a while ago. I chose to use the absolutely awesome  Window box Mini Album class to showcase just how gorgeous Vintage Artistry Countryside can be. This album was a labor of love and worth every minute I spent creating it. Countryside has it all. The colors, the design and the versatility to use it in a variety of projects, as you have seen the designers create in the past. Let me walk you through some of the details of this mini album in a box.
The Mini album is constructed separately, and simply slides into a box. I chose to create wooden bead feet. I think I am doing to paint them! When the album slides into the box, the flaps are magnetic and adhere to the outsides of the box. I used the 49 and Market large magnetic closures. The front flap is a shaker style flap making this album pretty special, as I filled it with Countryside chipboard, my own stash of microbeads and sequins to match the colors in Countryside.
This is a closeup of the front flap, and the top of the box has some of my favorite flowers. Sunflowers in Amber, Nature's Bounty Flowers in Salsa, Florets in Amber and Royal Posies in Tomato. I adore the color combination of the reds with the yellows. I chose the word Memories from the chipboard word set, as this album will hold a lot of special memories.
Here are some closeups of some of the wonderful pages. There are so many flips and flaps, pockets and slide ins. There is also acetate covered photo pockets to slide your photos into. Once the pages were constructed, i went back and adorned some of the pages with laser cuts, Fabric and washi tape, tags, chipboard and ephemera bits, Each page is so awesome, and there are so many various ways you could decorate each page making it your own album. You could also adapt a lot of Your Book of Memories pages to the 49 and Market premade albums, and that would give you a head start.
Here are more closeups of some of the pages. Lots of tags and pockets to slide them in. I love the acetate covered pocket frames to slide your photos into. I purchased Cake Collar roll on amazon. The acetate is the perfect weight and it is crystal clear. One 6-inch roll is going to last me a long time!.
Thank you for joining me. I hope that you are challenged creatively and create a project of your own. This mini album was a labor of love, but I enjoyed the creative process so much that I want to make another one. I hope that you are inspired.
