BoBunny Winter Layout using "Altitude"

It doesn't snow in Florida, but that didn't stop me from Photoshopping snow onto the photo of my daughter. The new collection "Altitude"  by BoBunny is simply beautiful! The cool blues and the warm purples compliment each other beautifully. I mounted the 12x12 piece of patterned paper onto  piece of 12x12 corrugated cardboard so that I could distress the edges. I painted some white gesso onto the background and did some stenciling.

The layered chipboard was flocked by a few handmade flowers. I sprayed some Lindy's Starburst spray in Azure Sea Asters. It is a gorgeous 2 toned blue that matches the paper perfectly and leaves a golden shimmer behind.

The flowers were die cut, layered and puffy pint was added to the edges. You can follow a tutorial I did in the past for similar flowers. Poinsettia Flower Tutorial
I also created the little pine cones using Sizzix Tattered Pine cones die.

I mounted the photo on a piece of corrugated cardboard  to give the layout some depth.

Thank you for stopping by.
xoxo

Creating a Faux Canvas Background by Lisa Gregory

Good morning my Lindy's Stamp Gang Lovers!! Here I am with another layout using this months colors from the November Color Challenge. For this page I created a faux canvas. I started out by mounting a piece of 12x12 white card stock onto 12x12 corrugated cardboard. I ripped up and wrinkled some Tim Holtz tissue paper and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the base I created. Once it was dry, I mixed  a little clear gesso with white gesso and painted my whole background, adhering the papers down and in place. This created my canvas for the gorgeous Lindys color. I stamped the background using a  mask and used  some soft charcoal ink, then I used the same mask with some texture paste randomly over the background. Using the sprays in the Limited Edition Color Challenge Mega Set. I sprayed parts of my background with water then immediately sprayed the colors over it letting it drip over the textured parts. I used a small paintbrush and painted in some of the color.I lso used the same paintbrush to create the spatters on the page.

The leaves in the floral cluster were pulled off of a silk plant bush and I sprayed them with Frosty Forest Green and Brushed Nickle Starburst Spray.

I ripped up some Bo Bunny paper from the Rose Cafe collection I had left over from a project, edged them with Sweet Violet Purple Teal and a Bit O Bubbly, then mounted them onto my prepared surface using corrugated cardboard underneath for depth. The Blue Fern Studios chipboard from the Lyering Stems set was heat embossed with aurora amethyst, then spayed lightly with Sweet Violet Purple Teal to get some of that shimmery blue on there.

My flowers were a lighter shade of lavender to start with. Once I sprayed them with Sweet Violet Purple Teal, the color changed to a rich plum with blue highlights. The smaller hydrangea flowers were baby blue, and I sprayed them with Tainted Love Teal. The color soaked into the veins of the flower which bought out the texture. Simply beautiful.

Here is  close up of the textured background. I adhered a few jewels here and there on the background for  a little sparkle.

The Blue Fern Studios Vernda Cage set birdcage was simply sprayed with a Bit O Bubbly.

The Blue Fern Studios word adore from the adore, love cherish set chipboard was sprayed with Sweet Purple Violet Teal.

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations November Alumni Blog Hop!!! I hope you are inspired long this beautiful journey of gorgeous art!! If you arrived here from the fabulously talented  Glenda Brooks Blog, you're on the right track!! I decided to create an Exploding Box for my project this month.

For the flowers I clustered, I used the Arianna Blooms PreCut Set.
to stmp the design, then the  The Arianna Blooms die to cut them out.

Here is  close up of the Box Top.

The leaves I used throughout this creation were stamped from the Open Leaf PreCut Set nd die cut with the Classic Leaf Die.

This is a view of the box exploding open when the box top is removed. I embossed the inside panels of the box using a sewing theme to match the BoBunny Pin Cushion Paper collection I used.

Here is a view with the box being held up by 2 walls of the box.

This is the floral cluster I created for the middle of the inside of the box.

BoBunny Mix It Up Week.

I love looking through my stash of BoBunny Collections and see what collections can be mixed together. On this layout there are papers from 4 different collections, but you would never know. They match beautifully! I wanted to go for a quilted look, so I mimicked a Nested Prairie Points edging by simply cutting the squares into triangles and slightly stacking them around the page. I did some stamping and faded water coloring as well.

Dream

The flowers were die cut using my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die , stacked and topped with jewels. Blue die cut leaves and Noteworthy Flowers were tucked underneath.
Dream

The frame reminded me of a mosaic frame I have in my home. It was perfect for this photo of my kitty. I picked out papers that matched his eyes. They are golden globes. I tucked a small doily underneath. I did some machine sewing around the framed photo as well as the layout outer borders

Dream

I backed the note worthy with some corrugated cardboard to give it some height, then topped it with chipboard and button. More flowers were tucked on the end of the Happiness sign...

Thank you for joining me today for the Mix It Up Layout I created. I hope I inspired you to start mixing your collections.

Lindys Stamp Gang November Colors Blog Post

http://blog.lindystampgang.com/color-challenge-info/

I wont get to lengthy in words as this post is photo heavy.  I love to create mini albums. I wanted to use neutral colored paper on this one so that no matter what colors I used, it would all shine through. I love how Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and embossing powders can be used on so many types of materials. Just on the cover of this mini, I used embossing powders and sprays on fabric, wood, paper, and  metal. With beautiful coverage. The November Color Challenge Colors this month are rich, warm and wonderful!! Before  and after I adorned the cover, I sprayed it with A bit O' Bubbly Starburst Spray. That was my base.

For the dollar store frame, (yup $1.00) I removed the backing so that it lay flat on the surface of my cover. I then heat embossed Twilight Blue Silver all over it. I topped it with Tainted Love Teal Starburst spray  and let it settle in the grooves. It gave it kind of  a patina Finish. The wood dragonfly and NOTED word were sprayed with  Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Spray. All of the flowers were also spayed with  the Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Spray and A bit O' Bubbly.

It is difficult to see in the pictures but I heat embossed Queen Sheba Silver on the edges of the pages. I also heat embossed the clips and charm to match using the same color.

I created the closure by heat embossing some Tim holtz metal clips with Queen Sheba Silver , attached  a chain (Joanns Fabrics find in the trim isle) with some jump rings and hung  a Prima trinket.

I used Primas Cartographer A4 paper pack. I did use a few pieces from Romance Novel 6x6 paper pack. This is the back of my mini.

For the spine, I adhered some white rose fabric trim (Joanns)  using hot glue. Then I sprayed it with A bit O' Bubbly Starburst Spray. Then just dabbed some Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Spray here and there. My album  was inspired by Frank Garcias Boheme III mini album for Prima Live. Frank is the designer for the Cartographer line.

I had been hoarding this Prima vine forever. It was a cream color before I sprayed it with Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Spray. I tucked a few additional flowers in and round the vine.

I wont comment on each page, but I will say the tags, pockets and sliders were all created from the scraps I had after cutting the papers for my pages.

I created this little slider for pictures or journaling. It is held together loosely with  brad so that it slides out easily.

Here is  closeup of my waterfall feature. You can use it for journaling or pictures.

Thank you for joining me. I hope that you are inspired to use your Lindys products on a variety of materials. Don't forget to join us for our November Color Challenge this month. as you can see the colors are fantastic!!  Grab yourself  the  November Color Challenge MEGA Set.
You will be inspired.

BoBunny Featured in CREATE magazine

The BoBunny Family and some of the designers had the opportunity to be featured in Create Magazine this month. We created from 4 different sketches. a double layout, a single  layout, a card and a tag.. Let me tell you how fabulously beautiful everyone's creations turned out!!. You have to go see. The sketches are fabulous. So follow this link and get your sketch downloads. I enjoyed working with the sketch, with the best part being the measurements provided. This made the whole creating process so easy.I opted to do the double page layout.
This is my first time creating a double page layout. It was a lot of fun. I used the Fright Delight paper collection that was perfect for an old Halloween photo of my kids and their friends.

I cut the photo apart and matted the pieces on the base, putting them back together.

This is the left side of the double layout.

This is the right side of the double layout.

I used the chipboard banner in place where the banner is in the sketch!! Perfection!!

I created journaling  strips and found this cute litte poem on the web. (no pun intended!!)

I die cut all of the leaves and created the flowers from the paper using various dies.  They are listed at the end of this post.

Here is another flower cluster I created.

I loved all of the embellishments that go along with the paper collections. I made use of quite a  few on this project. Layering them created lots of dimension.

I mounted the base paper onto cardboard (My new favorite thing!). Then I wet and peeled back the edges and sprayed them with some Lindys Starburst Sprays in a couple of different colors.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. Don't forget to check out the November Issue for Create Magazine to get to know the story and the people behind BoBunny, and to see what the DT has created for your inspiration. The sketches are fun!!
